but I think that Herman Cain is getting sucked into the vacuum that this has created. I just couldn’t believe that Whoopie Goldberg seemed awe struck. It was like she wanted to go into her normal routine but she couldn’t because she was like a little girl listening to a minister. I doubt whether this can last, but Mr. Cain’s quick wit and sincerity seems to charm these media snakes. It is almost a little scary.
*******
Well, not so much scary as I think Herman Cain is just a genuinely charismatic person. The difference is — he’s not phony or arrogant, like Obama. People can spot a phony when they see one — and they are drawn to those that are genuine.
I do believe the man is genuine, smart, charasmatic, and just naturally a good guy. It’s what we need — a good guy who loves the country. (with a few extra talents thrown in).
When’s the last time we had that in a president??

2000-2008.

It is scary, because you know that if and when the libs are threatened that they will lash out and attack Cain.
Enjoy the Honeymoon while you can.
Genuine is the key. The fear is he won’t be effective without executive experience in government. The average person cannot imagine how frustrating dealing with government on a day to day, even hour to hour basis is.
His pick for VP will be critical. He’ll have to balance regional concerns with practical experience and success. Who is his Dick Cheney?
The obvious answer is Ronald Reagan... but you probably already knew that before you asked! ;-)
Politicians do not usually succeed by being both nice and charismatic, but salesmen require those skills to succeed. Yes, politicians can be charismatic, but it's usually a charisma born out of rallying the troops against a hated enemy — being both charismatic and nice is unusual in a politician.
Time will tell whether Cain is selling a quality product (i.e., himself), just as time eventually told that Ronald Reagan wasn't just a great actor but a great communicator who communicated effectively because he firmly believed in his message and his message was the right message for America.
I'm not sold on Cain, at least not yet, but I'm hopeful.

I think that his initials were RR!

I “get” that from him too. Plus he’s not afraid to get in their faces (for once) if need be - that’s a quality all its own, and it goes a long way with me.
I don’t want a compromiser or appeaser - I want to see someone who slaps these lefty assh*les back into their place when they get out of line and obnoxious.
I don’t think that’s too much to ask out of a candidate...ESPECIALLY if you expect to lead what’s left of the Free World....
