Says a chum: ‘Gwyneth is close to the President and they are long-time friends. It was entirely her idea to host the party in the family home. She deliberately wanted to throw the kind of celebratory party she would have for one of her best friends and knew her enormous house would provide a great space for this kind of event.’

The actress has been intimately involved in all the planning for the evening, including the guest list — which is confined to U.S. citizens — and the choice of caterers.

She has also arranged a speaking programme headed by Obama’s campaign manager, Jim Messina, and his national finance chairman, Matthew Barzun, before dinner.

Adds my source: ‘She wants to do all she can to help Obama hold office for another term and knows that having a fabulous party will encourage early donations.’

Another in a long list of Hollywood idiots. The woman is not very bright and is typical of the Hollywood hypocrite. She has led a sheltered and privileged life and is clueless about what it takes to function in the real world. She's on the downside of her looks and is less bankable as a starlet. In short she's dumber than a box of rocks and is somewhat of an intellectual coward. She would never debate or put her beliefs on the line in a discussion where she could be challenged.

Is this buffoon even aware of the mess the US economy is in and does she know Obama is largely responsible for this mess and lack of recovery? I doubt it. She's insulated form all of this misery. She's part of the radical chic. But to be fair, she's a good actress. You don't have to be that smart to be a good actor or actress. Even people of below average intelligence can be a good entertainer or actress.
