I knew Perry would pull in WAY over 10 million, the real question is how much of this did he pull in before that last debate, and how much after?

Answer in LINK at Post #57.

Hint: It SHOT UP AFTER the debate.

He raised money at his site with his money bomb [it was not called that]...every last dime and it ended 11:59PM on September 30th. That was long after the debate and wasn’t even up at his site till the last fews days of September.

.....I’d like to see how much of that was after the last debate. I suspect 90% of that was in the first 28 days, and it slowed to a relative trickle after that.......

You would be wrong.

I’d be interested to understand if the money has started dropping off over the last few weeks. Perry is at a crossroad and we’ll see if he breaks out or implodes to Bachmann level standing. I would also think Cain would be starting to bring in more money.

He will need good debates. He is also now EVEN with Cain tied for second.I liked it better when he was beating ObamneyCare.

Thanks for the link. That explains why they had to dig up the “rock” story - they’re trying their best to do a “Palin” on him - he scares them. That’s why the elites were desperately trying to get Christie in the race. They know the numbers & they know that Romney’s support is not moving up much. They are encouraging Cain to take numbers away from Perry. When it comes down to two candidates, there are a lot more people NOT WITH Romney, than there are WITH Romney.

That has to be troubling to the powers that be. If Perry can hang in there - AND - if people can unite behind him as the anti-Romney, he’ll come out on top.

Of course, I’m not sure conservatives are capable of uniting behind the most conservative candidate with the best chance of winning - he’s not “perfect”, ya’ know.

Rick Perry.....The Prudential candidate... Have you bought your piece of the Rick???

BACKSTORY Perry was supposed to be riding high about now (not plummeting in the polls, bombing in the debates). He and his handlers had plenty of money to flood key states with ads.

So know Perry has to make a show of "raising money" to account for all his cash.

Even before he "threw" his hat into the presidential ting, word was that he had tons and tons of money to finance himself. Perry has been raising truckloads of money preparing for his presidential foray.

Just the other day, Senor Ricardo released his "holdings" but he sure left OUT a LOT----like for instance, that one of his multi-million dollar "political committees" paid for M/M Perry's posh trips all over the world.

=====================================

So how many political funds does Senor Ricky have? This is what we know to date----could be many many more.

The “Texans for Rick Perry” Committee is a $102 million slush fund he uses at will. Some PAC mega-donors paid in $100,000 each in order to influence Perry's official actions. “Texans for Rick Perry” paid for posh family trips to the Bahamas, Amsterdam, Madrid out of campaign contributions.

A LOYAL DONOR Over the years Bob Perry (no relation) and his wife have given more than $2.5 million to Rick Perry's various campaigns. Bob Perry made a $1 million contribution to the RGA. The RGA then cut the first of two $500,000 checks to "Texans for Perry".

Perry's presidential PAC "Make Us Great Again" raised millions to flood Iowa, and other early voting states, with ads promoting their boy.

At the time he was saying he WAS NOT running for president last year, Ricky's Super-Pac raised $55 million for a presidential race---in $2500 max per person/ $5000 max per corporate PAC contributions.

Perry bragged at the Tea Party debate that he raised $33 million for reelection that year and that he was "offended" at the inference that he could be "bought" with Gardisil mfg Merck's $5000 campaign donation. Merck funneled $5,000 to Perry as down payment for the Gardisil ExOrder, but eventually gave Perry $400,000, a move that sparked outrage across Texas and, now, the nation.

One news report called “The Governor’s Gusher,” documents 100 wealthy donors who “have sought corporate welfare, relaxed regulatory rules or other government favors” in exchange for their political largess in Texas gubernatorial races. A disturbing number of these profiteers made a fortune off government handouts or by bending or breaking regulatory rules.

Perry also has a pot of unregulated "Texas inaugural committee" monies (comes in handy for the presidential race).

NOTE: Loose Texas campaign laws put no limit on individual donations. The FEC better scrutinize those forms from Perry's campaign committee.....some of the donors listed may not even know they are donating to Perry (/snix).

THIS MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD Perry's claiming all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, and Guam donated to him.........more than half live outside Texas. Almost as funny as when Rahm Emanuel left DC to run for Mayor hauling a bundle, then said he raised $10 million overnight.wo

It’s coming real close to the last draw, and we’re going to have to play with the cards we’re dealt.

How do you feel about Romney and where his money is coming from?

Get out you abacus and do the math Granny. If 20,000 donors each gave $100 (a typical private citizen donation), that's $2 million. Where did the other $15 million come from?

Perry and Romney have many things in common: 1) great hair, 2) neither is a conservative and 3) both have albatrosses around their necks (RomneyCare and illegal aliens) and 4) both will be tools of big-moneyed special interests.

I’m guessing Rick Perry (and a lot of others) wouldn’t like my idea about eliminating corporate taxation because it would remove the incentive for big donors.

“special interests who are looking for favors”

Oh, I agree.

Businesses that want Obama and government off their backs so they can prosper, grow their business and hire people.

They want an economy like what Texas is enjoying!

wow... that's pretty impressive. I am actually more impressed that his donations actually went UP after the last debate, than I am with the total number.

It's seems rumors of Perry's demise might have been greatly exaggerated.

Liz, we can always count on you to get to the bottom (the swamp bottom!) of the story, lol! Of course, it won’t set you up with the Perry zombies but I love it. Keep it up, girl.

So what? We have an election to win and it’s going to take money. Obama took in one million dollars in one fundraiser in TX this week. The story is he’ll have upward toward a billion dollars. Just be glad some are willing to fund Perry. He’s a hell of a lot better than Obama.

um... you make it sound like a bad thing that Perry can raise cash to fight against Romney and eventually Obama’s 1 billion dollar machine.

what’s he suppose to battle with? spitballs?

Don’t invoke the wrath of Perry’s women constituency, they’ll tell you that you’re a Romney supporter.
