EXCLUSIVE: Republican White House hopeful Rick Perry raised over $17 million in 49 days, DRUDGE has learned. $347,000 per day; 20,000 unique donors from all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, and Guam. With more than half of donors living outside of Texas... Developing...
You mean those oversea fund from all 50 states, Guam and Puerto Rico?
It’s time to start looking at this realistically. It is still likely to come down to Romney or Perry. Take your choice.
AH...we know who Perry is...those that think they’ve put the last nail in his coffin have been surprised how alive and well he is...
No, when Cook County politicians engage in “pay to play” they are dishonest and corrupt. When Texas politicians do it, they are just being “good ol’ boys” and “Wheeling and dealing.” at least in the eyes of Perry supporters.
and which one will Sarah campaign for?
My bet is Perry.
The first time I heard his name as a candidate was when she mentioned him on her bus tour.
In related news, popcorn sales soar.
I am glad to say that I made a small donation to Rick Perry campaign.
“Good. This still gives us a chance to save this great nation.”
Yes, kind of like John Dillinger saving the banks.
Probably from companies which like the Texas business climate.
With more than half of donors living outside of Texas...
Developing.
Whether anybody likes it or not Perry will be the nominee and beat Obama with Palin as energy secretary drilling in Pelosi’s back yard.Christie would have been a powerhouse to beat appealing to democrats and moderates.I heard on some show last night that Christie was told there is not enough time now that primaries have changed; even for him.I am not a huge Christie fan because I don’t know what he is all about (A lot here are always so jumpy with the everybody but Palin is a RINO) but Christie is pro life and has the gusto and wide appeal of Reagan; so I don’t dismiss him. but him not jumping in gets me nervous as Obama will have a challenger. The marxist left has taken the democratic party so the challenger will be a progressive like Hillary. But if they throw in a Bayh anyone but Christie will struggle. America woke up to the Clintoons and Hillary’s glass ceiling appeal won’t do it.She sold Az. out to the UN and her recent diss of Israel will make it impossible for her to play a moderate fake Bill Clinton Hail Mary pass.
It's about establishing an anti-overregulation environment, creating jobs and growing the economy again. This election is about jobs, jobs, jobs. Why do you think so many businesses are moving to Texas? People donating money want him to do it on a national level.
“With more than half of donors living outside of Texas...”
You’re talking about the number of donors. I’m talking about the number of dollars. Do some math. $17 million divided by 20,000 donors = an average of $850. The typical small donor donates $25 - $100, so the majority of dollars came from special interests who are looking for favors.
I knew Perry would pull in WAY over 10 million, the real question is how much of this did he pull in before that last debate, and how much after? I am guessing he received 90% of this before then. But it’s still impressive none the less, and I knew this would be one of Perry’s biggest strengths against both Romney and Obama.
How do you feel about Romney and where his money is coming from?
The second most important factor when running for president is how much money you can raise. IF you can’t raise the money your goose is cooked and certain groups of people will not support you. Money talks BS walks.
“.........Best of all for the Perry campaign, the burn rate in the first seven weeks was negligible. The campaign has $15 million cash on hand from its $17.1 million haul. Team Perry wanted 18,000 contributors in this quarter, and finished with over 22,000. More than 60% of their contributors donated $250 or less, which means that they can keep going back to them for more money.
The message that Perrys campaign wants this report to send is that Perry isnt going away and that he can out-raise and out-organize the rest of the field. With Perry taking a big hit in polling, that message cant come at a better time. However, Perry will need a good debate performance next week in order to truly right the ship and regain some of the momentum lost in the polls.

Republican White House hopeful Rick Perry raised over $17 million in 49 days
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I’d like to see how much of that was after the last debate. I suspect 90% of that was in the first 28 days, and it slowed to a relative trickle after that.
You can raise all the money you want, but if you don’t act like a leader, and don’t have a message that resonates, then you are just another pretty face.
Where are Herman Cain’s fundraising numbers?
Those that exaggerate and throw out propaganda to try and make some point - have no point.
