Van Jones Urges Progressives to 'Steal' Tea Party Strategy

Making no secret of his disdain for Tea Party ideals and ideas, ex-White House adviser Van Jones on Monday nonetheless urged liberal activists to "steal" the Tea Party's playbook.

The former "green jobs" adviser, speaking at the top of a three-day conference in the nation's capital designed to galvanize liberal activists, spoke interchangeably in harsh and glowing terms about the Tea Party movement. He described their cause as "the worst" and "silly" and other unflattering adjectives. At the same time, he said progressives can learn from what the Tea Party has accomplished, as he tried to steer the crowd toward his own umbrella group which he's been working on since the summer.

Using the pick-yourself-up-by-the-bootstraps tone President Obama has employed in recent days, Jones pointed to the Tea Party movement as an example of grassroots activism done right. He suggested liberals have relied too much on one person, Obama, to fix everything.

I’m seein’ Van Jones as the kind of guy who might get arrested in some bushes with another dude in a park somewhere, or maybe in a cheap motel with 10 hookers and a duffel bag of coke.

"Progressives must steal. They do not have the ability to create."

Nailed. Plus, what Jones just doesn't get (and never will!) is that you cannot "copy" something sincere that is an outgrowth of actual honest human response, and manufacture through contriveance something that will compete with it.

He actually believes that they can "copy" our playbook with no real principled basis for their actions. What a brain-dead imbecile. Van Jones is the poster boy for the saying, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."

LMAO!!!

Marx stealing Jefferson...

if only it were so—think of all the hundreds of millions who would never have been unjustly murdered and imprisoned.

You got that right Vanny boy. Your snottynosed little commie wannabe biatches can’t come up with their own strategy because they are a bunch of freakin’, low I.Q. libtards. Advise them to steal the TEA Party’s playbook.

Nice idea, Van.

But Tea Partiers know how to read and transport themselves to events.

The difference is like that between the Sistine Chapel ceiling and the paint-by-the-numbers version...Van, that's number two...

Liberals don't have any 'grassroots'.

They have illusions of grassroots. They have war rooms that send out letters AS IF they were written by everyday citizens.

But they don't have grassroots.

They have rent-a-crowd union guys and ACORN shills.

They have (self) interest groups with hands out looking for other people's money.

They have elites looking down on everyone and weird groups that want to destroy and disrupt.

They don't have 'grassroots'.

There's 1/20th the number of them v. us. They're immature and don't have the courage of their convictions mostly because they don't have any convictions. They don't understand the stakes.

Liberal at 30 or you have no heart. Conservative at 50 or you have no brain. Churchill.

That would just enhance his resume for the Left.

Mr. Van Jones you may not want them to associate with tea party members. A light bulb may go off in their heads and get “it”.

Yep. Look at China where they demand the ‘trade secrets’ of US companies who set up shop there.

But wait, Nancy Pelosi claimed that the TEA Party was all "astroturf," nothing "real." Van Jones wants to steal that? Why, when it's "the progressives" who had actually done that, and just used their normal "projection" on their enemies - falsely claiming their enemies (American) were doing what they themselves were doing.

Of course he wants to steal from the Tea Party, he’s a socialist. That is their only course of action. It is their hammer for the nail that is every problem they perceive. It is no coincidence that the hammer as a symbol was worked into the USSR’s flag.

Jones can play pretend all he wants but true grassroots don’t need top down organization like his little marxist minions.

That's the central tenant of marxism. While they lie to the "useful idiots" that it's about sharing and fairness, but the reality is that it's ALL about central control.

Steal Tea Party principles instead.....that is a limited federal govt, adherence to the Constitution, respect for the Almighty and protecting our borders. No need to steal these however as we will gladly share these with them. But the marxist leftists just prefer the propaganda method of deception in their march toward tyranny.

Van Jones for Prez: What are your thoughts on thus supposition?

He might possibly win. The problem is the absolute lack of education in government run schools, from primary school through graduate school. There's nothing taught about the evils of communism. Che is a cool dude on a tee shirt, not a homicidal maniac directly responsible for thousands of deaths. While Hitler is reviled at many leftist universities (in public anyway) there's never a mention that compared to many communist regimes, Hitler was a piker when it came to genocide.

At most colleges, "Commies are Cool!"
