Damn right she was. She appears to be a either a real ditz, overly kind and unassuming, or a combination.
If that Prosecutor didn't have papers ready to file in court, he didn't really want to try this case again. He's hoping she leaves town like now.
What I found interesting and is sure to make liberal heads explode was the large cross that hung conspicuously on the wall behind the judge. I guess Italy hasn’t been scourged with Italian equivalent of the ACLU.
She was a real ditz at the beginning, naive and playful as if still a child. She grew up the hard way, in jail for four years. However, she is smart, learned Italian and delivered an almost flawless impassioned plea in Italian for her innocence.
