Cain asked reporters to focus on whats important to the American people rather than beat this distraction to death about a word that appeared on a rock.
I really dont care about that word, Cain added. They painted over it. End of story! I accept Gov. Perrys response on that.
Does that help? On another thread.
That didn’t stop Rush from tearing Cain up today for it.
He doesnt have a racist bone in his body, said former Democratic state Rep. Ron Wilson, who is black and served with Perry in his early years in the Legislature. He didnt then, and he doesnt now.
Cain's response still doesn't address the fundamental “Perry is racist” imaginary smear the Washington Post is trying to make stick.
Does that help?
It would, if he didn’t also lie about what he said at the same time...
Today: All I said was the mere fact that that word was there was insensitive. Cain responded.
Yesterday: And since Governor Perry has been going there for years to hunt, I think that shows a lack of sensitivity for a long time of not taking that word off of that rock and rename the place. Its just a basic case of insensitivity.”
For him to leave it there as long as he did before I hear that they finally painted over it is just plain insensitive to a lot of black people in this country, Cain said.
