I was entertaining your comment until this statement. The fact is, conservatism is based in following "what works", and "what works" is plainly given in the Word.
What evolutionary theory DOES fit well, and is the basis for, is Marxism. Evolution fits hand in glove with Marxist ideology, from the application of evolution to culture and society to the promise of "uber man" through culling and selective breeding.

No, evolutionary theory supports the existence of two ideologies.
One is a group oriented ideology, evolved from the K-selected psychology. It is competitive individually (and supports the freedom which allows competition), loyal to group, monogamous, selfless in group competition, and honorable.
This psychology will produce immense evolutionary advancement because resources are apportioned based upon ability and effort, and competitive ability, and groups compete to find the fittest group-oriented human.
Humans overwhelmingly adhere to this competitive, K-selected psychology, and this is why we are so advanced. It is also why we evolved to embody such good as freedom for competitiveness, loyalty, monogamy, family, and honor. This is also why we overwhelmingly support Conservatism over Liberalism.
The other ideology is about pursuing personal individual advantage. This psychology, evolved from the r-selected psychology. It abhors competition, and resources apportioned based upon ability and effort, as it is generally held by those who are less fit. It is based upon using a strategy of betrayal in group competition, for selfish advantage. It embraces promiscuity, low investment child rearing, such as single parenting, and it supports mating as early in life as possible. This is the psychology of Liberalism and Marxism. Stifle all free competition among men, distribute resources equally, regardless of ability and effort, and destroy anything which says otherwise, like God. You can even see this ideology in other species, where weaker specimens seek to thwart competitions and their outcomes in the search for mates.
Evolutionary theory supports Conservatism because mankind is a K-selected, Competitive, Warrior species. Evolutionary theory demonstrates that Liberalism is a case of an inferior, minority psychology seeking to oppress superior specimens within a species, for nothing more than personal advantage. It demonstrates that every honorable value our species holds dear, the Liberal stands for the opposite.

We as a species, hate these traits because we do not hold them. We do not hold them, because God designed a world in which we would not.
