Herman Cain: Voters will find Chris Christie too liberal
Daily Caller ^ | 10/02/2011 | Alex Pappas

Posted on 10/02/2011 7:05:59 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain predicted on Fox News Sunday that GOP primary voters will find New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie too liberal if he decides to join the race for the White House.

Moderator Chris Wallace pointed out Christie’s views on gun control, civil unions, immigration, global warming that may not be conservative enough for Republicans, and asked Cain if Christie is too liberal to be the GOP nominee for president.

“Yes,” Cain responded. “I believe that a lot of conservatives, once they know his position on those things that you just delineated, they are not going to be able to support him. I think that it is absolutely a liability for him if he gets in the race.”

There has been rampant speculation in recent weeks that Christie would change course on his repeated statements that he will not run for president, as donors and Republicans continue to push him to run.

“Most of the conservatives believe that we should enforce our borders,” Cain elaborated, “they do not believe people should be here without documentation. They do not believe global warming is a crisis or a threat. Yes it might be a little bit out there, but they don’t see it as a crisis or a threat. And as you go right down the line, he’s going to turn off a lot of conservatives with those positions.”

So you criticize Cain for not being willing to support Perry if he wins the nomination, but then if one of your short list of candidates does not get nominated, that is unacceptable and it is implicit that you won’t support them. OK, got it.

I am not interested in Christy at all. You are right; he is a RINO outside of a few economic issues.

O.K.

I think I got it.

No. I’m NOT black. I’m a white Anglo. Check my prior posts. I’ve said it over and over again, but some racists don’t get it.

You can’t judge by a name.

I’m a heartless conservative :)

That is your problem; you'll never get anywhere worth being without a clean heart.

Is there anyone in particular that rises to your standards?”

Cain used to. Christy never did.

Sure you can; you chose your handle; you were not born with it. You identify with it and you, not your mommy or daddy picked it. So maybe you fancy yourself a resident of Greenwich or have some peculiar fancy for the tribe.

Golly, Rudder, I used to think that Cain would be a good candidate for us. But, sometimes when the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do?

re: Conservative voters will find Chris Christie too liberal and liberal voters will find Chris Christie too conservative.

Trying to be all things to all people obviously doesn’t work. That our governor hasn’t figured that out by now could be a glimpse of his lack of savvy.

BTW, you played the race card which makes you the only racist here, and a faux conservative to boot.

Conservatives base their positions on logic and reason, not appeals to emotion.

Can we get the record straight here.
What has Cain said that
(a) he agrees with gay marriage
(b) he agrees with civil unions
(c) he agrees with gays in the military

RE: Us ? Who are you (plural), Legion ?

This is a thread my friend. Anyone who comes to this thread will be reading your accusations. So yes, give us ( or if you like, ME ), the exact quote Herman Cain said that makes him a race baiter similar to Al Sharpton.

Here are some of Al Sharpton’s race baiting remarks :

* He called Jews “Diamond Merchants with the blood of innocent babies in their hands” in 1991

* He called Caucasians who shopped at Harlem’s Freddy’s Fashion Mart “White Interlopers”. “We will not stand by,” he warns malignantly, “and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business.” Sharpton’s National Action Network sets up picket lines; customers going into Freddy’s are spat on and cursed as “traitors” and “Uncle Toms.” Some protesters shout, “Burn down the Jew store!”

* In 1087, Sharpton accused a White Cop of raping Tawana Brawley ( later proven to be a hoax ) and stoked racial demagoguery.

I gave you just three examples of what Al Sharpton did. Now you, my friend, said that Herman Cain is doing something similar to Al Sharpton. SO TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT HE DID...

Exactly what did Herman Cain say to give you that impression?”

His comment after the Florida debate about the audience booing the alleged “gay” soldier and the Perry smear. I also wasn’t impressed by his comment and walk-back on his position on the mosque in Tenn., but until these last two incidents I would have been very happy for him to be the nominee.

Unless the more conservative candidates clean up their act, we are going to give the nomination to the Romney and the R establishment.

Garbage in, garbage out: How climate scientists perpetrated their scam
My colleague Dan Calabrese summarized what happened:

The exposure of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia demonstrate beyond a shadow of any doubt that – at the very least – global warmist climate researchers a) dumped data they didn’t want others to see; b) manipulated data to hide information that didn’t support their preconceived conclusions; c) didn’t know how to explain the lack of warming over the past decade; and d) conspired to attack their critics and prevent their work from being published.

My colleague Dan Sherrier called it what it really is, a scam:

Global warming is perhaps the most brilliant scam in all of history.

Less ethical scientists who want government subsidies can offer interpretations of data that further a politician’s ability to justify seizing more power. Or, you can invest in “green” companies, knowing that the government will stack the decks for those companies to do well. There’s plenty to gain.

And, my colleague Jerome Corsi reported on honest research that shows global cooling for the last decade over the United States and Canada:

The mainstream media is reporting the World Meteorological Organization’s assessment of global average temperatures asserting this decade is “the warmest on record,” without mentioning the WMO data actually documents the United States and Canada experienced cooler-than-average conditions since 2000.

To provide one more blow to the junk science used to produce a political result for the United Nations and the Obama Administration, I will draw upon my formal education in mathematics and computer science, and my early professional experiences using mathematical modeling, to explain how easy and tempting it was for the named climatologists to do what they did.

Let’s start with an analogy. Each month the Labor Department issues the official unemployment rate for the country. For November 2009 it was 10.0 percent. The number of government jobs has been increasing for the last three months, whereas the number of professional services jobs has been decreasing.

If the Labor Department wanted to fudge the unemployment rate to make it look better than it is, it could have conveniently left out the number of professional service jobs. But they did not and I doubt that they would. After all, one of their jobs is to just count heads and it would be easily detected by most analysts.

But when a group of scientists intentionally omit a large amount of data from the development of their models to predict future climate change trends, as pointed out by Dan Calabrese and others, it is not easily detectable without some inside information. That’s what the hacked e-mails provided.

It is also dishonest and unreliable.

I learned early on that with any computer program the principle of “garbage in means garbage out” is always true. When you do not use all of the empirical data to develop your mathematical model it is “garbage in.”

It is outrageous that the head of the United Nations, the head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Obama Administration are all dismissing these revelations as they push onward with their political agenda in the face of scientifically manufactured results.

This is no longer a controversy. This is conclusive. And once again, liberals choose to ignore the facts.

It’s a scam.

I guess that confirms my suspicion that there really are not that many conservatives attacking Rick Perry.

Buy your own logic you would support Obama over Santorum, Paul, Romney et. al.
Cain if Perry is the nominee will do what you would do if romney is the nominee, keep your mouth shut and vote for the republican, just like I voted for McCain, even though I despise the man, to no avail but I did my civic duty.

LOL

Wow...the "true conservatives" keep falling like flies.

Not buying into that cult is out there, Christie is too liberal but Romney is not. Perry is insensitive for disliking a racial slur and painting over it and conservatives were wrong to boo at the debate. I'm getting quite an education as to what it takes to be a "true conservative" these days.
