Herman Cain: Voters will find Chris Christie too liberal
Daily Caller ^ | 10/02/2011 | Alex Pappas

Posted on 10/02/2011 7:05:59 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain predicted on Fox News Sunday that GOP primary voters will find New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie too liberal if he decides to join the race for the White House.

Moderator Chris Wallace pointed out Christie’s views on gun control, civil unions, immigration, global warming that may not be conservative enough for Republicans, and asked Cain if Christie is too liberal to be the GOP nominee for president.

“Yes,” Cain responded. “I believe that a lot of conservatives, once they know his position on those things that you just delineated, they are not going to be able to support him. I think that it is absolutely a liability for him if he gets in the race.”

There has been rampant speculation in recent weeks that Christie would change course on his repeated statements that he will not run for president, as donors and Republicans continue to push him to run.

“Most of the conservatives believe that we should enforce our borders,” Cain elaborated, “they do not believe people should be here without documentation. They do not believe global warming is a crisis or a threat. Yes it might be a little bit out there, but they don’t see it as a crisis or a threat. And as you go right down the line, he’s going to turn off a lot of conservatives with those positions.”

RE: Well, I now find YOU, Mr. Cain, to be a race-baiter and clueless about sodomites.

Exactly what did Herman Cain say to give you that impression?

I would not be surprised if he endorses Obama for reelection if we nominate a conservative like Perry or Palin.

As Colin Powell proved, blood is thicker than water.

Hey, who gave you the impression that Cain would endorse Obama over any Republican? EXACTLY WHAT DID CAIN DO TO GIVE YOU THAT IMPRESSION??

Cain is already on record saying that he will not support Perry if nominated for a host of reasons; today I saw him on TV with Christiane Amanpour and he played racist politics like Al Sharpton. I think Cain is a phony and will behave as Ross Perot, John McCain or Colin Powell if he is not nominated or paid off. He is unacceptable to me as a candidate; I will only accept Perry, Palin, or Gingrich.

Christie isn’t even in the middle.

He’s to the left of any other GOP candidate running.

Pro-Muslim

Pro-illegals

Pro-global warming

Anti-drilling offshore

Anti-gun

Anti-First Amendment

= A Jersey RINO aka Rockefeller Republican = Chris Christie

Yep, I agree. Just on gun control alone, I won’t vote for Christie. But, he’s rocks when it comes to dealing with the msm’s stoopid questions and even stooopider “reporters”.

Cain hired a news spokesperson. Hope he starts soon. His speaking on the Perry family’s ranch situation without knowing the facts, or even having read the article apparently, could be considered ‘acting stupidly.’ And “Herb” has been pretty smart so far.

He shouldn’t try to get ahead of himself quite yet. He’s had a great week. Slow down and savor it, but don’t let the Sunday Morning Talking Heads lead you down paths you don’t need to go. Hint: the media is NOT your friend.
