Herman Cain: Voters will find Chris Christie too liberal
Daily Caller ^ | 10/02/2011 | Alex Pappas

Posted on 10/02/2011 7:05:59 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain predicted on Fox News Sunday that GOP primary voters will find New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie too liberal if he decides to join the race for the White House.

Moderator Chris Wallace pointed out Christie’s views on gun control, civil unions, immigration, global warming that may not be conservative enough for Republicans, and asked Cain if Christie is too liberal to be the GOP nominee for president.

“Yes,” Cain responded. “I believe that a lot of conservatives, once they know his position on those things that you just delineated, they are not going to be able to support him. I think that it is absolutely a liability for him if he gets in the race.”

There has been rampant speculation in recent weeks that Christie would change course on his repeated statements that he will not run for president, as donors and Republicans continue to push him to run.

“Most of the conservatives believe that we should enforce our borders,” Cain elaborated, “they do not believe people should be here without documentation. They do not believe global warming is a crisis or a threat. Yes it might be a little bit out there, but they don’t see it as a crisis or a threat. And as you go right down the line, he’s going to turn off a lot of conservatives with those positions.”

Also, One of the key qualifications is that they must prove they are working toward citizenship.

This is not Texans spending money to educate illegal communist rapist’s.
And what skin is it off A New Yorkers nose?

and?

In Nazi Germany many people were in favor of dealing with the “Jewish problem.” Do you mean to imply that because a lot of people support something that makes it right?

James Madison and Alexander Hamilton would disagree.

I notice you do not justify this policy by saying how it was correct, only by pointing out that a lot of the legislature was in favor of it.

That makes Perry’s position even worse. By your standard, if a lot of people support something, then Perry is correct in throwing out Conservative principles. I can’t wait you hear you justify how that is right.

What part of “IT may be a bit out there” confuses you?

Cain changed from third personal (THEY)to the impersonal (IT). IT refers to global warming , as in ther may be a little bit out there but THEY (whom he has identified with) don’t see it as a crisis or threat.

Did you attend high school and pay attention to English Comprehension or are you used to just going with your emotional gut?

I think CZs are way underrated.

On that point we can definately agree! I find them to be a good solid gun for a reasonable price.

I cast my own 9mm Makarev bullets out of tire weights and drop them in water. I was concerned that I might have to use jacketed bullets in the CZs because of their polygonal rifling. However, I have never had any lead build up problems in my 9x18 Makarev CZ-82s. I have heard that the CZ-82’s polygonal rifling is configured differently than in the Glocks. In my experience the CZ-82 has been a great gun for shooting my own cast bullets which saves a lot of money.

How about this?

You obey our laws, and work towards citizenship in your own country.

You want to be an American citizen and the first thing you do is violate American law?

What skin is it off any American citizen’s nose?

What is it about a nation of laws that you do not understand?

What is it about a nation of laws does Gov. Perry not understand?

Perry’s position is: The federal government was not doing its job, so we decided to make it worse.

It would be like saying the federal government was not controlling heroin, so we decided to start giving out heroin, because we wanted everyone to have an equal chance at doing heroin, because the federal government was not doing its job at controlling heroin.

I would watch that lead in a polygonal barrel, though I am no expert on the matter.

I have personally seen Glocks with lead +P’s go Kaboom.

I don’t give a rip about saving Texans money.

It’s called illegal immigration for a reason.

Namely, it’s illegal. Perry deserves to loose this nomination.

And he will loose it if he keeps debating like a looser.

So much for Perry the “conservative.” If that’s the best Texas can do for conservatism, then maybe Texas better keep its “conservatism” to itself.

Perry the amnesty panderer . . . “conservative” indeed. LOL.

I have personally seen Glocks with lead +P’s go Kaboom.

9mm +P’s uses approximately twice the powder of a 9mm Makarov. In my experience...higher pressures and velocities tend to lead to more leading problems... even with traditional rifling. 9mm +P is rated at 38,500 max psi the 9mm Makarev 23,206 max psi. Obviously more pressure creates a higher probablity of catastrofic failures. I have kept a pretty close eye on the barrels of my CZ’s because of the difficulties reported with lead build up in Glocks. I tend to load my makarov cartridges a little on the light side anyway mostly because it makes finding the brass easier. ; )

It is the combo of all these things that could lead to issues with overpressure.

Just err on the side of caution.
You’ll be fine

Bingo, First Prize. Posting history shows a staunch apologist for Perry, almost "cult" like.

Posting history, LOL; I'm rarely on FR except Cain's racist politics yesterday were so infuriating, in addition to all the cultist liars who have been ruining FR lately I had to post. Oh yeah, add a staunch apologist for Reagan and GW Bush to the charges; I'm sure you can generate some racism out of that too.

Actually I picked it for two reasons:

JAG was on TV when I joined and they used ZULU time on their show.

Also, I appreciate the Zulu custom of never taking prisoners. More Republicans should emulate them.

“So maybe you fancy yourself a resident of Greenwich”

?????????????? Greenwich England??? What has that got to do with this, or is this more puzzling for me to figure out?

Although you are a troll, perhaps you ought to study the National Socialists and, in particular, the S.A. Then you might bump that .01% (which I doubt) to 5% to 10%.

It would be better if you just admitted that you spend your time listening to Judy Garland and The Village People dressed like Liberace when you aren’t at the bathhouse.

Well, if the Aga Khan is secular, its a non-issue. But I have seen posts here implying he is tied in with them in other ways. I don’t entirely agree with his policy on tuition for children of illegals but don’t entirely disagree with it either. Its the alleged Islmaic ties which concern me. Also, I was disappointed in his performance in the last debate. I like his jobs record, his open Christianity and his Second Amendment stance.

If either Cain, Bachmann or PErry can get nominated and elected we win. If not, we loose.

The sodomite life style is far more than a misguided belief. Those in the lifestyle destroy institutions and cultures. You might get a copy of The Pink Swastika.

As for his comment on the phony story on Perry, I disagree with you entirely. I think Herman thinks he has a shot at the nomination now and felt the innuendo would help push a competitor out of the way. He should have gotten the facts and stood up for Perry and against the racial smear machine. That would have been the right thing to do, and it would have done far more to advance his campaign than what he did.

I am not saying that what he did was right. I am simply arguing against the insinuation that he is a race baiter ( see posts above by others ).

I’ve seen the man talked, I’ve asked him questions in a public forum. The man is NOT (repeat, NOT ) a raise baiter.

And oh yeah, even with his insensitivity comment, that comment never gave me the impression that Perry was at fault in this matter. And he was RESPONDING to a question by a liberal rabble rousing interviewer from CNN. He did not actively bring the issue up.

So NOPE, I don’t even think he is milking this issue to his advantage.
