Thanks to EMTALA, you'll get treated if you show up at an ER. But if you show up with a toothache, which I saw a Medicaid recipient do in my neck of the woods a few months ago, why should taxpayers be on the hook for that?

So what if they will be billed. They aren’t going to pay. They would as soon owe $600 for a emergency room visit as $100 for an office visit.
