I don’t have a problem with traitors in foreign countries being targeted and killed myself. I am surprised the msm is trying to tarnish obama this way myself.

Al-Awlaki was a 14th. Amendment citizen. No allegiance to the USA- he goes overseas to fight against Americans. How many American troops are dead because of him. But then, what sort of justice did David Koresh and 90 men, women and children get? What sort of justice happened at Ruby Ridge? People are now whining about Al-Awlaki???

I am peeing in the swimming pool on this, Obama is a Moslem, he isn’t a definitive and legally proven American “Natural Born Citizen”

But he has suckered America into electing him and now he thinks he will gain back lost popularity by killing Moslems, even if the are Americans.

And it may continue here in America, its a far fetched vision but who really knows what is cooking inside his head?

...killed an American citizen...

I don't believe this is a true statement. I noticed last night that even the state run "media" is backing off and referring to him has being "american born". There was a post here last night in which the poster shot down the "U.S. citizen" BS. It appears that this clown was a citizen of Yemen. He didn't even meet the anchor baby qualifications prior to his parents returning to their home country of Yemen once their business here was completed.

We are at war with barbarians.

If Americans don't survive, our system doesn't survive.

This was not a U.S. citizen operating within the jurisdiction of the United States legal system. This was a murdering terrorist openly at war with the United States and, really, all of civilization. The leaders of terrorist organizations who murder innocents without mercy, and do so, from foreign soil, are enemy combatants, whether or not they are U.S. citizens.

They are due no legal process and should be killed without warning wherever they walk, ride, fly or rest.

If he’s tanking in the polls and seen as a weak sister, American citizens are fair game, it seems.

How can you fight a war without killing the enemy?

What is all the fuss about killing Al-Awlaki? Why was he any different from bin Laden?

“Supreme Court precedent (the World War II era Quirin case and the 2004 Hamdi decision) hold that American citizens who fight for the enemy in wartime may be treated as enemy combatants, just like aliens.” http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/197534/obama-oks-targeted-assassination-awlaki-us-citizen-andrew-c-mccarthy

As to Obama being in the White house when it occurred, so what? I cannot stand Obama, but the fact that Al-Awlaki was killed on his watch does not make me worry for my safety.

However, the type of people who have surrounded Obama does cause me to worry. Soros, Rahm Emmanuel, Geithner, Hillary, etc.

It is an interesting intellectual debate, but these things ultimately solve themselves, at least in an armed society such as ours.

Basically, the President can kill a US citizen, right up until it is seen by the (armed) populace as a threat to liberty. If he crosses that line, the populace threatens revolt, the politicians deal with it to placate the populace, and the problem is solved, in some fashion.

This happens in every war. During the war, politicans do what it takes to win, people grit their teeth and bear it in the search for victory. After the war, somebody goes overboard, politicans revoke the powers, and we start over again, until the next war when the cycle repeats.

I suspect the scale of the issue will keep any President from going overboard for some time, though. This isn’t nearly as bad as much of the other stuff this administration has done, which will be abused even worse in the future.

Well, perhaps we should empanel a jury made up of George Washington, James Polk, Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, Dwight Eisenhower, FDR, Harry Truman and George Bush II and ask THEM what they think of exterminating a rotten low-down bastard who was involved in killing fellow American citizens because some half-baked nutty prophet from the 600’s told him to?

BESIDES, ALL Muslims are FIRST and FOREMOST, “citizens” of the Umma, the community of “believers” , NOT the Country they might just happen to reside in at the time.

It is beyond me WHY we are even having a DISCUSSION about this.

Only a totally unhinged nut-job like Ron Paul or somebody with a personal agenda could ever make an issue of such an OBVIOUSLY “correct” decision.

One of the very few from this President.

There were TWO Americans killed, and I agree with you 100%. I've been posting and reading about this all day.

Maybe we should just suspend elections until we get this cleared up, or perhaps allow Obama to do things on his own and bypass Congress. KIDDING, I'm kidding! Or hyperbolating or sarcasticating or whatever it is called when the left throws something out to test the waters, see what reaction they get from the sheeple.

The “American” was on foreign soil - cooperating with the Muzzies.

He was a wonderful target, and I hope that those multiple pieces of him serve to fertilize the land - thereby accomplishing much more than this sorry piece of excrement did whilst living.

As for the ACLU - I only wish you had been out there interviewing him......

I don’t believe that we should target and assasinate US citizens abroad without some kind of due process. Especially people guilty of propaganda crimes. While he may have ties to actual terrorism, he at least deserves a court hearing (even in absencia).

That being said, I probably wouldn’t have even went to war in the middle east. I would have been happier if we had given Blackwater $50 Billion and told them to go over there and kill anyone in sight that may be al quaeda - no questions asked. No respectful burials. Then burn down their houses and especially their Mosques. Put up signs saying that if we hear that a terrorist attended a particular mosque, that it would be destroyed. No matter which mosque! Then they could decide whether they wanna be a terrorist or harbor one. They could decide whether they wanna be personally responsible for destroying Allah’s houses.

But I digress. Just a daydream....

His Homeland inSecurity has named me a domestic terrorist by MO. I am for the constitution and it's rule of law and design of government's division of power, the second amendment, and I am pro life. I have no doubt Obama and his Marxist pals would murder a lot of Americans to “progress” with change. They are actually talking in the open about ignoring the power of Congress to do what they want and suspending elections.

They are openly talking about creating America's “Arab Spring” where they will officially overturn the constitutional republic and install a the leaders of the “protest” in NYC and around the country to create a “democracy.”

The main anxiety I have today about this as opposed to the history of leftists with this goal, is I believe the GOP would do nothing to stop them in reaching their ultimate goal. Also, a lot of billionaires and CEO’s are yapping about he glory of communist China and are backing them the radical left in overturning our “inefficient” form of government.

Finally, too many new and young Americans have no idea what they are up to and are easily tricked by plays on words and idealistic slogans because they have never learned about the oppression of communism nor the design of and ideology of their own constitutional liberty.

Obama was 100% right on this. I applaud him. His drone assassinations, or whatever you want to call them, are the only thing he’s doing right. I don ‘t care if this scumbag was wearing U.S. flag underwear. He’s dead- and that’s great.

The "victim" in question voluntarily relinquished his citizenship by aligning with an enemy that has taken up arms against the United States.

He chose to become a traitor, he can suffer the consequences.
