A Palin presidency: Too shackle-y?
Thats what Sarah Palin suggested on Fox News On The Record with Greta VanSusteren tonight, saying that shes concerned jumping into the 2012 presidential race will muffle her message.
Is a title worth it? she asked, rhetorically. Does a title shackle a person? Are they someone like me whos maverick? I do go rogue and I call it like I see it and I dont mind stirring it up in order to get people to think and debate aggressively.
Is a title and a campaign too shackle-y?, she continued. Does that prohibit me from being out there, out of a box, not allowing handlers to shape me and to force my message to be what donors or what contributors or what pundits want it to be? Does a title take away my freedom to call it like I see it and to affect positive change that we need in this country? Thats the biggest contemplation piece in my process.
Palin expressed a concern about being caricatured if she runs, and asked again whether a title is needed to make a difference or someone can be rogue, can be maverick, can be passionate about issues and can get people to think very wisely about issues....

This seems like she’s leaning against running.
I can’t wait for her to finally say she isn’t running. She is beyond tedious.

Well, I honestly think she doesn't know if she's going to run yet, but if she is concerned with "titles" and "handlers" and "donors" after leveling charges of crony capitalism, I think she is leaning hard toward not running. Plus, calling herself a "maverick" and "rogue" is a little off-putting to me, considering she has been anything but rogue in her continued support for Juan McLame, and her silence when he attacked the Tea Party just a few months ago.
shhhh!
Your posts regarding Palin are beyond tedious.
Cain's "rise" is directly connected to Perry's fall. We don't want Romney, and Perry just doesn't have what it takes, so... WHO?
The Wheel landed on Cain this week. Maybe next week we'll all profess our undying devotion to... Santorum?
Sarah HAS to run. If she loves this country she will run, and win. IMHO, of course.
Wrong. The PDSers are already flocking to it.
I happen to think she likes one title very well right now.
FoxNews Contributor Sarah Palin. It pays well, the work is easy, and the adoring fans still get to put her on a pedestal.
Ssshhhh.
The Palinites are watching us.
Clue you.
Greta didn't introduce her as a Fox News Contributor tonight. Only as "Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin."
“Finishing third or fourth in the GOP primaries, which could happen, would damage her media career and earning potential.”
it didn’t stop Huckabee
Who knows? I agree that she risks her fortune if she actually lays her cards down. She’s milking it for all it’s worth. She makes Huckabee look like an amateur.
LOL! I’ve been HazMatatized by Lazlo!
Give me a break. Does she think we're all children?
>> She is beyond tedious.
Absolutely not. She’s inspirational.
Palin is consistently advancing Conservative goals, and only speaks to candidacy when asked. So it’s not Palin that’s being tedious.
I know. It’s late. I’ve been guzzling wine since I got home, against the admonitions of Proverbs. My loose tongue will be the end of me! I’m just sayin’.
I saw this. She is either preparing us for the let down of her not running or after watching the Republican Straw vote she realizes they don’t want either of the two front runners and she has to run to save the republic and knows it will be very hard on her and her family.
