The biggest reason of all for the Obummer to do this is that if the SC rules ObamaCare unconstitutional, that issue will be out of the way for the election. Of course, then he’ll have NO accomplishments, but at least the Republicans can’t bludgeon him with ObamaCare.

The fact that he’d have no accomplishments is a big deal. Obamacare was what be built his presidency on, and with it destroyed he has NOTHING of substance to run on.
People are already tired of his administration trying to take credit over Bin Laden’s death. Obamacare’s failure means his presidency is a failure.
If it happens, it will probably be 5-4. The obvious GOP commercial need only make the points: Obamacare huge disaster, president appoints justices.

If the Supremes overturn it, it undersocres again just how much time, money and damage was done forcing through this piece of crap legislation...and he is toast.
If they uphold the law as it is, the opposition will be even MORE outraged and head for the polls to overturn it...and he is toast.
