Perry is the only one who understands border security and illegal immigration problem — he has experience from living in Texas and having been governor for 10 years.

All the others are all talk, without knowing what they are talking about.

I understand what you are saying. I still do not like his stand against building a physical barrier/wall and his propensity to create a magnet for more illegals to flood in by rewarding enormous dollar benefits to their children. If he alters/changes/modifies his position on those two issues, Perry again goes to the top of my list.

Go Herman Cain!

What he ought to do is keep highlighting his experience with border issues, and keep explaining his reasoning on what he did and why.

What he never should do is insult those of us that have a serious interest in the border issues. Twice in a row he has insulted people that he needs to vote for him. First we are racist then in the very next debate we are heartless. We have proven we can compromise on border issues, we really don’t need insults. I can agree to disagree on issues, being insulted is another matter.

"All the others are all talk, without knowing what they are talking about."

Including a large percentage of those who post here. Another good-sized percentage are fans of other candidates just taking advantage of a chance to jump on the other guy.

100% agree.

I’d love to see, for example, a Rick Santorum, who as a Catholic claims obedience to his Church, propose that the children of illegals, whether born here or not, be mass deported.

Or Romney, who knows nothing about governing a border state like Texas, tell the children of illegals, or even children dragged across the border by their illegal parents that at they must pay Baylor University rates to attend a 4 year public university. This after spending years in our public schools and making the grades to pursue college.

I dare any one of them to look these people in the eye, on camera, during the next debate, and tell this community....”Thanks for your parents hard work and allowing the rest of us to enjoy a very affordable roof job, frame job on my new house, cheap mfg labor rates, and all the other great benefits we enjoy off of your parents backs, but guess what, now that you want to pay $20k a year to go to A&M, tough crap. You, little Miss daughter of an undocumented construction worker, now that we used you and your family, you get to pay $42k per year to go to A&M.

I dare any one of these other hypocrits to look America in the eye and make the above comment.

Rick Perry sent Obama a $300,000,000 invoice for services rendered by and paid for by Texas citizens to do the job that this jackass in the White Wouse did not do. Santorum and Romney are only helping the Obama campaign with these over the top attacks on Perry and making republicans look anti-hispanic jerks.

Is that why Rick Perry was pushing open borders in 2001? Is that why Rick Perry was pushing guest worker programs for years, and even went to Mexico City in 2007 to claim that the US Congress was immature for not passing a guest worker program?

For almost a decade Rick Perry spoke out in support of things that encouraged illegal immigrants. Yeah, Rick Perry sure does understand illegal immigration. His biggest donor is a Texas homebuilder who understands A LOT about illegal immigration. That billionaire homebuilder even made it a point to lobby the legislature against passing more laws designed to fight illegal immigration and Rick wisely stayed out of his way.

Ole Ricky could break his ties with his homebuilder backer by answering a request put forth by Texas Tea Parties. Ricky could come out and say that he was wrong about speaking out in favor of open borders or guest worker programs, and that his donors were wrong for working against anti-illegal legislation. But that ain't going to happen, because when Rick Perry is bought, he stays bought.
