New gaffe: Obama hails America's historic building of 'the Intercontinental Railroad'

"Were the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad," Barack Obama.
That's what the president of the United States flat-out said Thursday during what was supposed to be a photo op to sell his jobs plan next to an allegedly deteriorating highway bridge.
A railroad between continents? A railroad from, say, New York City all the way across the Atlantic to France? Now, THAT would be a bridge!
It's yet another humorous gaffe by the Harvard graduate, overlooked by most media for whatever reason. Like Obama saying Abraham-Come-Lately Lincoln was the founder of the Republican Party. Or Navy corpseman. Or the Austrian language. Fifty-seven states. The president of Canada. Etc.
If you talk as much as this guy likes to talk instead of governing, if you believe you are a Real Good Talker as much as this guy does, you're gonna blow a few lines. But this many?
No doubt, we'll see a collection of Obama's Best Bombs on 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend, one right after the other. No doubt.

No one has his grades from Harvard Law School, but he was handed the Law Review Presidency, and a
Magna Cum Laude (top 10% of class) just for being Obama.
Obama would sooner reveal he frequented bathhouses than he would his LSAT's.

This further supports the suspicion that many have that he truly is "The Affirmative Action President." I think he was passed through in college and Harvard Law School based solely on his race and his backers support.
There is no way a person can graduate "Magna cum Laude" from HLS without knowing that one says ". . . an economic . . ." rather than ". . . a economic . . ." or that one says ". . . the problem is . . ." rather than ". . . the problem is, is that . . ." or any of the other myriad of grammatical errors he makes on a routine basis.
The fact that he doesn't know American history doesn't surprise me, he wasn't raised here--never mind the citizenship issue--he was raised in a foreign culture, how could he possibly know what we Americans know almost intuitively?
Obama's "brilliance" is just another part of the con-job that the MSM sold to the American voters.

That surely much be one of the worst presidential gaffes ever? That must have been pretty wet work building that sucker. Does a ticket come with an automatic swimsuit?

Presumably not to Mongolia after he blocked out their leader’s face with his “classy” hand waving gaffe.

i know plenty of libs who can blab like they kissed the Blarney Stone and think they are making a difference but all they are doing is exercising their tongue.
If they wanted to make a difference they, like the wise old owl, would zip the lips.

And his great great grandfather Mogobo Atumbo Obama swung one of the sledges at the golden spike.

The other point that he and his liberal friends miss is that the TRANS-Continental Railroads wwere built by private industry without government “infrastructure” money. There wasn’t even an income tax then.

I have maintained a file list of liberal lackeys (beginning with Michael Bechloss) who have made the absurd claim that Obama is smart.
I enjoy how Obama has constantly "acted stupidly" and made them look idiotic, too.
Obama is a very thick, dull, person.

Were the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad I know of two intercontinental railroads--the Trans-Siberian Railroad, which runs from Moscow to Vladivostok, Russia, and Turkey's Republican State Railroad, which offers rail service between Asian and European Turkey. However, I doubt if the US had a hand in building either of these railroads.

If it was he would have said Intergalactic Highway. Of course the Earth gets destroyed for the off ramp. But hey, so long and thanks for all the fish.

I think that you will find that the Union Pacific and Central Pacific had substantial backing from the Federal government.

Obama is a walking example of people being advanced throughout life with no basis of intellect or knowledge. That statement can be shortened to affirmative action hire.
