The relatives of three Chechen men gunned down in Istanbul last Friday have accused a Russian secret service hit squad of executing them on the Kremlin's orders.
The triple murder was carried out by a lone gunman in less than thirty seconds using a 9mm pistol fitted with a silencer. It brought the number of Chechens assassinated in the Turkish city in the last four years to at least six.
The gunman pumped eleven bullets into the three men in a busy Istanbul street before speeding off in a black getaway car.
One of the murdered men, 33-year-old Berg-Haj Musayev, was said to be close to Doku Umarov, an Islamist terrorist leader who is Russia's most wanted man. The other two were said to be his bodyguards.
It was Umarov who claimed responsibility for the January suicide bombing of Moscow's busy Domodedovo airport, an atrocity that left 37 people dead...

It’s probably never a good idea to stand too close to somebody the Kremlin wants dead.
FAIL.
Irregular war without borders is Hell.
Those relatives should consider themselves lucky. They’ll be next if the Chechens don’t learn from these assassinations.
Or the Israelis. Simply not a healthy way to spend one's day. Not a healthy way at all unless you are a close genetic relative to Superman.
Good for the russians. Kill all terrorists.
Dude needs a refund.

Dead Muslims are the only good Muslims.
He’s now wagging that scolding Islamic finger in a very hot place.

Acting on a tip-off, Turkish Special Forces were reported to have stormed the Russian man’s hotel room three days after the killings but to have missed him by a matter of minutes. They reportedly found the murder weapon, a passport, binoculars and a night vision scope however.
If this assassin were Russian secret service its unlikely he was still there or that he was using the same passport he used earlier. It is equally unlikely that he has possession of the murder weapon and night vision. That sort of stuff would be spirited away and kept at a remote location by an another agent. The man himself would be gone. Hed be replaced with another agent for the next hit.
The murdering terrorist who got shot wasn’t on Russian soil, the coward had fled to Turkey. So the Russians shot him there.Good for them.
I thought professional hit men, especially for hit of high importance left their weapons behind because those weapons were untraceable?
Just read Anna Politskovskaya’s “A Small Corner of Hell” about the atrocities committed in Chechnya by Russian forces and I would not characterize the Russians as the “good guy” in this conflict. Sometimes there are none.
So what is the down side??? Russia gets up close and personal, saves money, we do it with a million dollar drone and a really expensive missile.
