Full title: Perry: "I Don't Think You Have a Heart" If You Oppose In-State Tuition for Children of Illegal Immigrants
Perry's response was forceful and personal. "I don't think you have a heart," Perry told his critics.
"If you say that we should not educate children who come into our state for no other reason than that they've been brought their through no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart," Perry said. "We need to be educating these children because they will become a drag on our society. I think that's what Texans wanted to do. Out of 181 members of the Texas legislature when this issue came up [there were] only four dissenting votes. This was a state issue. Texas voted on it. And I still support it today."

The more I learn about this character the more I know my research was right. He does not need to be anywhere near the office of President. I will not vote for him.

I am hereby throwing Perry under the bus. His totally insane position re immigration is a deal-breaker. A potential $100K incentive to illegals that is not even available to legals from out of state? WTF??? And he won't build a wall? He seems to have the same blind spot on this issue as Bush.
Even Romney is starting to look reasonable in comparison.
To: sklar
Agreed. Perry doesn't even understand the issue. This kind of cheap demogoguery would fit better in the 'rat convention, where it probably will surface again next year.
Too bad, so sad--hasta la vista baby.

There’s no excuse for Perry to be that “off” in such an important debate. Terrible performance. I was happy when he go into the race, but the more I see of him the less I like.
To: Norm Lenhart
I know, but you can’t take what the PDSers have to say as credible in any way! :-)
To: Bigtigermike
Perry believes in Taxation Without Representation!
He wants to tax one group to give to another. That is THEFT!

He is a less intelligent, less restrained, less likable version of GWB.

I am concerned that his most vocal supporters are absent and we are over 65 posts into this thread. I think Rick stepped it it even deeper than we suspect.

W all over again, no thank you. Its Palin for me. How did Cain do?
I haven't watched the debates, but I have Palin, Cain, and Bachmann (in that order) as my choices.
Hopefully Palin enters the fray, but that's between her and the Lord.
