Gingrich promised to lay out a very visionary new Contract with America during a speech next week in Iowa.
It will be 10 times deeper and more comprehensive than 1994,

I love NEWT way more than romney or Perry
he has been the only one with balls in the debates
I was happy to see him join JUST for the debates
If i had a choice of newt or mitt or perry- i would take newt
Palin, Cain, Newt, Bachman, Paul are the ONLY ones I would consider (probably in that order too)
Palin/Cain 2012
Newt is good with words but he is still a RINO.
We have a saying in my business. KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid.
The book signing session following the speech will be well attended.
I just know there's another book in this for Newt.
I don’t trust Newt. He’s an elitist. My hunch is he’s with team Romney.
I hope it includes things like eliminating entire Federal departments, laying off scores of bureaucrats, neutering the EPA and cutting off funding to ACORN and the rest of the liberal establishment.
I’d vote for him..
I agree. Gingrich is very smart, a student of history, has critical thinking skills but has made some bad decisions in the past.
Unfortunately, many here will dwell on those instead of paying attention to what he will be proposing.
I'm waiting for the "Newt has too much baggage... he's just promoting his new book to make money..." etc., and this:
.
Who is that ? Knute Rockne ?
We’ll see. I was impressed with him in the last debate, but his views on abortion are an issue.
Conservatives must be wearing a sign that says kick me hard. Doesn’t matter how many times the politicians spout the same crap and we go down the same road. Conservative always vote for them no matter what.
Hope got that other guy elected....
The rest of the pack has been very disappointing. I was hoping for so much more out of Bachmann and Perry. At this point I'm not even sure they would make good Vice Presidents. Maybe things will change in Iowa, and we will have a break-away leader.
If Newt cannot boil down a “10 times deeper and more comprehensive” “contract with America” to a few basic principles unburdened by complex policy proposals, it will not offer a “vision” but grist for the fodder of critics of the specifics.
My problem with Newt since he left Congress is not with a lack of “vision” or “comprehensive” policy ideas on his part, but that what he has offered as vision or policy ideas has not always been consistent with Conservative, constitutional, small government, limited government principles.
He has to do more than demonstrate his intellect. He has to be more Conservative than any other GOP candidate in what he proposes.
Post #28 picture put the spike in Newt. Newt will never get elected.
Sorry Newt, you aren’t good enough.
You fall FAR short of my across-the-board, conservative standards.
We’ve been shat upon repeatedly by you egotistical, elitist, Beltway-fixture career politicans. Guess what? We are damn smart too.
Won’t be fooled again.
Love,
From somewhere deep on the “Far Right”
Amen......just like Rick Santorum’s supporting Snarlin Arlen put a spike in him.
I think so, too. The guy is outstanding in a debate format (albeit with a bit of prickliness toward the media) and has a strong command of issues that matter.
If people look past his (unfortunately ample) baggage, he could indeed be a factor as the campaign kicks into high gear.
Newt is the smartest and most articulate of the bunch. Too bad he runs at the mouth at times and picked the wrong side of some losing issues. Wasted potential.
