All of the renovations have been done so things are back to normal.

But, we did lose power here in our part of town for a little over an hour. They had some repair work they had to do on some lines.

In any event power is back on now.

I visited Teresa last evening....I made her cry several times. I don’t know why, but the nurse said she’d had a few crying jags during the day. Once was when I asked if she had been up. The nurse said she did hold her own for the day, but is still on the ventilator.

I told her about all the *HUGS* sent her way. She can gesture with her hand that she wants to write, but I tried getting her to hold the marker several times, but she just couldn’t get her fingers to hang on to it. I tried doing the alphabet thing, but she didn’t stop me at any of the letters, so that didn’t work out very well.

The nurse did say they would try to get her up today. I know she is VERY frustrated not to be able to communicate, and just for being there.

awww poor thing. I bet it is frustrating. Tell her not to rush it. Take her time to concentrate on one thing at a time...Like being able to hold the pen.
