Stop whining.
I hated John McCain but thre were only two reasonable choices in that primary. Hunter who polled in low single digits as Cain does now and Thompson. Who for some reason I still will never understand never was embraced by the social right leading them to chase after Huckabee dooming his chance of going anywhere.
Perry;s got the social right and southern vote on lock as a Christian and Governor of Texas. He has a strong fiscal record and dares to even admit to wanting to address social security and medicare. If this candidate isn’t good enough for you that doesn’t make you a true conservative. It either makes you a partisan or a losing candidate, a dreamer constantly chasing the unattainable, or a strong border advocate. I;m with those on the last one but given the alternative is Romney I can swallow the one sore position I have with him.
You have 3 choces. Romney, Perry or Obama. Don’t like it? Then go run for office yourself.
What I find funny about the anti-Perry crowd is that they’ll tell you straight up that they don’t like Perry, but they never seem to tell you who THEIR candidate is. That’s because I suspect most of them have their hearts set on someone who doesn’t seem to have the guts to declare, join in the debates, and take their lumps just like all the other candidates (If she’s actually running, which I don’t think she is).
