CBS/AP) CINCINNATI A tea party activist is challenging U.S. House Speaker John Boehner in the 2012 Republican primary.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that David Lewis announced his candidacy on Friday.
Lewis, 26, is the father of a 2-year-old girl, and says he plans to run on a single issue Boehner's support of a federal budget that includes funding for Planned Parenthood, which he calls "the largest killer of unborn babies in America."
Lewis told the newspaper he plans to run graphic...

Whoa!
I hope you didn’t think I was talking to you.
I was commenting on the article.
I haven’t re-read my post but I recall it being a missive about strategy.
I teach these things to other salesmen and help them move beyond single issue tactics which result in a proven 85% failure.
However, if they follow my advice we can move from tacticsw a real strategy which will change that to 85% successful engagements.
Didn’t say nothing about the guy’s very good and noble intentions.
But, he isn’t serious. Except that he wants the opportunity to demonstrate the horrors of abortion and the beauty of life that exist in the womb, that is a very real human baby.
He won’t be able to make himself visible without more issues.
Perhaps I came on a bit strong. We are in complete agreement about strategy. If this man is serious, he will broaden his platform.
That’s all I was saying. My honest and straighforward appraisal.
I love running into chumps on a sales call who are chumps, salesmen wannabe’s(but lazy), salesmen(good intentions) and Professional Salesmen who are their clients Trusted Adviser.
Being in the position of Trusted Adviser means you have broadview and understanding of the target’s requirements now and in the reasonable future.
He is going to have to attach himself to dinner table issues.
Abortion can be his primary issue but he can give life to his constituencies top three issues and make certain they understand that abortion is his personal mission.
But he must represent the people.
Something like that. Boehner isn’t really at risk anyway.
With the mood the country is in I wouldn’t go so far as to say Boehner isn’t at risk. Look at NY this past Tuesday and Turner never represented himself as one to be wishy washy. We are looking for those types of people. Boehner is wishy washy. Grant it, he’s is in an incredibly difficult situation but he seems to be more likely to take the easy route; the path of least resistance etc. than stand firm. Even if he isn’t challenged, he needs to step down from his position as Speaker. (imho)
Hmmm....
I’ll think that one over.
Well said.
Well said.
We must stop the circular firing squad.
He was put on notice last November, and since then he and the rest of the weak, effete, Republican elite have been laughing at the ineffectiveness of conservatives as the Crybaby enables all of Obama's programs.
There is no need for me to read more of that nonsense.
This is a Trojan Horse candidate.
Rush has been way off base in his attacks on Boehner.
You are talking to a fanatic supporter of the Confederacy don’t expect any knowledge or reason therein.
The run is constitutional. All he has to be is from the same State to run.
suit yourself.
Accepting this fraudulent Tea Partyer does not suit me.
Fair enough.
Central is a coward as well, don’t forget that.
Once you get past his typical bluster, he runs and hides.
I have a full time job, so sorry if I can't respond 7x24.
