Maybe the folks over at Pure Michigan need to give Kid Rock a call.
According to today's Mining-Journal, folks can't get enough of the Pictured Rocks in Munising -- which were featured prominently in Rock's "Born Free" video last year.
Mining-Journal: National Park Service statistics for Pictured Rocks showed August visitation up 43.47 percent over last year. Those figures followed a 31.79 percent increase in June and 14.81 percent increase in July.
At the National Park Service-U.S. Forest Service Interagency Visitor Center in Munising, which services Pictured Rocks and the Hiawatha National Forest, it was so packed with visitors at times staff found it hard to answer the phone.

Outstanding vid. Great song, great car, great scenery.
Thanks for posting this. Kid Rock has done one heck of a lot for the troops over the years and he is one DAMN PROUD AMERICAN.
I;m always down with a little Bawitdaba. . .
Hartwick Pines is one of my favorites close to my old stomping grounds.
8 Mile actually turns into a dirt road east of me. It runs all the way out to the country just north of Ann Arbor. Most of it's in a nice area. The Detroit areas are rough in spots, but it's not what I'd call a war zone. I used 8 mile to get from 75 to Van Dyke when I had to go from Downtown to Macomb. I wanted to avoid 6 mile and Van Dyke. THAT's a bad area.
The Tigers clinched the AL central title last night.
It’s all good, and it’s all in fun.
I just took a look at the video.
I sure miss home.
Yeah. The pure Michigan website sure won’t inspire that kind of emotion. It just makes me feel like I should be buying insurance.
Video has a bit of a Bob Seger feel to it.
