Republican Presidential candidate, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, answers questions after a speech before a Virginia Republican fundraising event in Richmond, Va., Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011.

“We don’t need to elect a nominee who’s going to blur the lines between this administration and the Republican party,” he said today. “We need a nominee who draws a distinct and clear contrast. And I will tell you one thing: President Obama and I have a clear contrast.” That drew a roar, slamming Romney without citing him and emphasizing his “contrast” factor for a general election.

Perry at Liberty University - speaks of liberty, freedom, military, 9-11, evil, "we must engage allies and build alliance for freedom and be like Ronald Reagan and speak past the rulers and directly to people by yearning to be free," his faith, his path, trust in God........ [worth listening to -- much, much more than described by the MSM]

I like Perry and if Bachman and Cain drop out—or Palin doesn't enter—he has my vote.

Bachmann may be kicking dirt on Perry’s record, and she’s gaining some momentum by doing so...

Stopped reading there...

I'm puzzled that he now says "opt-in" was the way to go but didn't say so in the debate.

The opt-out made sense to me because it ensured the greatest access, widest insurance coverage and still protected parental rights. It's all academic; it was never enacted. It's certainly not a hill worth dying on.

I hope we can break fresh ground in next Thursday's debate rather than waste 20 minutes on gardasil.

Barack H Obama :

Facing growing opposition to his economic proposals and dimming prospects that Congress will pass other parts of his agenda, President Obama told a Hispanic group in Washington Wednesday that when it comes to the issue of immigration, “I’d like to work my way around Congress.”

“As I mentioned when I was at La Raza a few weeks back, I wish I had a magic wand and could make this all happen on my own,” Obama told a meeting of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. “There are times where — until Nancy Pelosi is speaker again — I’d like to work my way around Congress.”

Be very afraid

Governor Nixon of Missouri:

Be very afraid

Rick Perry:

Barry doesn’t want Congress, he knows better and it is very noble.

Perry and Nixon, for noble reasons, of course, bypass their legislatures rather than debate their own personal and political will with the people.

Whether it comes with an R or a D. Tyranny and authoritarian behavior is a sign of character problems and very dangerous to liberty.
