"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and turn from thier wicked ways then will I hear from heaven, forgive thier sins, and heal thier land" (KJV) It's in Chronicles where evades me!
I think God is judging this country, time’s come to pay the Piper.
I’ve been praying for divine intervention from day 1.
Brother, may I suggest that in 0bama's case specific prayer for our political leaders is most necessary? I pray daily for 0bama's repentance and conversion.
"Thy Kingdom come, thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven ..."
"Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you"
"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy."
Yes! And keep praying...also this promise:
Job 5:12: He thwarts the hands of the craft so their hands will achieve no success.
The promise was to Israel, and it will be fulfilled—at the end...however, if enough people in our country did turn, or repent from their wicked ways, beginning with our illustrious leaders, perhaps God would relent and in His mercy deliver us from the consequences of those ways.
Of course you can. We should pray every day for President Obama:
Psalm 109:8 - "Let his days be few, and let another take his office."
I should add that I’m not saying that God will deliver us from all the consequences, because sin always has consequences, but perhaps the full measure of what we deserve...
“Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.” Rom 11:5
LOL! You beat me to it!
NOW ITS RIGHT!
(Amen!)
We are still headed downhill and the people are still getting lazier. I don’t see any trends that say otherwise.
That “I” before “E” thing gets me EVERY time!
Are we praying, as His people? Are we asking for revival in the land? Do we pray for others or just those nearest?
If America is to avoid judgement, WE must pray and repent. The prayer of a non believer avails nothing. America was a gift from God to His people, just as Israel was given to the Jews. He has taken it back many times until the Jews repented and came back to Him. Israel has been called an "adulterous" nation. Cannot the same description fit the US as He gave this land to His people for His purpose for good, and we can't even pray in public, and He is not permitted anywhere in public affairs in His own land?
Many Christians think God will spare them some calamity if they are just believers, but billions of believers have been killed in the past and will be in the future. We could on a bigger scale lose our home to an enemy of God, and then what would your life be as a Christian. You can see a sample already in today's life in America. It will be more than ridicule and hate heaped upon God's people if we lose our home. The Bible says they will even kill us thinking they are doing "God's Will". There is almost as much homosexuality, abortion, adultery, and fornication in some churches as out of church today. I prefer to call myself a Christian rather than claim a denomination today in fear of what may be in tomorrow's headlines.
The God almighty that gave us George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan is still watching over the USA, and.....will do so forever!!! This is the same God almighty, that gave us Barack Hussein Obama to teach America the folly of departing from freedom, liberty, our sacred Constitution and Bill of Rights, The same God almighty that is teaching and demonstrating to American Black Christians, the folly and foolishness of voting for someone because of their ethnicity or skin color, rather then their capability content and character!!! Yes, America, there is a God almighty watching out over the USA, and.....watching out for his flock in Israel as well. as vividly displayed last evening in Brooklyn & Queens, NYC!!!
IMO, based on Revelation, the coming tribulation is a global event:
Rev 6:12And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains
Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Sure it is. It's part of one of the 10 nations.
"Make sure your preps are adequate because we dont know how bad it will really get before the Rapture."
It'll get so bad that you'll probably be dead before it actually happens.
With all due respect, this is not good hermeneutics. This passage is addressed to Israel, the nation that was God’s. It contains no promise to any country, irrespective of their view or behavior.
