what i’m thinking is how gaga they went over a rat winning a slightly conservative district in upstate NY, the one where the guy emailed a picture of his chest to some chick then stepped down- and how the criminal liberal media spin at the time was the anti-Paul Ryan message would carry the rats back to house leadership in 2012 based on that result....

The important thing is the devastating and unspinnable blow that Obama and the Dems will take. They will try to say that concerns over the European debt crisis led to Turner's victory...

If gay marriage cant win in Chuck Schumers old district why do some GOP bosses insist the party must support it?
Worse, why won't these election master-minds like Karl Rove and Steve Schmidt use it as a wedge issue? They're always telling us we need to work harder for "minority" votes. Well, here's an issue that is tailor made to convince Black and Hispanic voters to abandon the Democrat bandwagon and these idiots won't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

I’m a former New Yorker who has been living in Japan for 25 years . Totally unaware of current demographics in Brooklyn these days . Could you explain how a Repub can win 70% there ?
To: vamoose
At current trends, if voting percentages stay equal per borough, and each precinct has equal votes...
...Turner wins 55.6% to 44.4% (a 11.2 point spread).
(According to my spreadsheet.)
Three quarters of Queens has reported in, but Brooklyn still has over 60% of its blockbuster anti-Obama vote left to come in!
If these trends keep up, this will be twice as bad as the surprise upset polls from last week predicted!
Take THAT, Zero!

That was a reference to Weprins speech in favor of the gay marriage bill that passed, which NOM used to round up opposition to Weprin among not just Orthodox Jews, but Hispanic voters...
Bingo. NOM is a force. If you want to send your campaign donations to a group that will really make a difference, send it to NOM.

Dean Heller was the congressman for all of Nevada north and west of Las Vegas (2nd CD). He was appointed to the US Senate vacancy created by the resignation of John Ensign. This election fills this seat left vacant by Heller’s elevation to the Senate. The GOP candidate and apparent congressman-elect is Mark Amodei, a former state senator who was term-limited after 2010. Apparently he is a well liked guy throughout Nevada.

Yep, according to AP there are too many Republican votes coming in. There must be a problem.

When I just looked there are a tad over 35% of the results in with Amodei well in the lead 57.38% to Democrat Kate Marshall’s 37.09%.
