Need to pickup and count the ACORN, SEIU, and AFL-CIO ballots in the District.

46-54% here, 35-65% there (D/R) ... I don’t think even Dems can cheat THAT much, to overcome this. Turner’s pulling away.

Just the fact that the Republican is a contenter is a winner for our side. Obama may be dust but dont stop here. Win or lose in this rat district and it looks like we win, 2012 will be a blood bath. Expose the rats for the Marxists that they are.

What's the deal with the third party guy - C. Hoeppner (SWP)? I assume "SWP" stands for Socialist Workers Party?
That's good if so... he'll siphon a few votes off Weprin...

According to a recent poll, he was garnering four percent, which struck me as ridiculously high.
I just verified it with someone who's following the precincts in Brooklyn, and so far he's gotten no votes.

In 08, Weiner carried Brooklyn portion of NY9 52/48. Queens = 65/35. Queens = 70% total vote. Theres your benchmarks.
Update: More benchmarks via Nate Silver:
NY09 over/under line: Weprin (D) would need about 54% of the votes in Queens precincts, 42% in Brooklyn precincts, to tie Turner (R) Thanks for that info, Palmetto. I'd have guessed the opposite (that Jewish voters in Brooklyn would be more prone to voting for the Dem), but the first returns from Brooklyn confirm your thoughts. I'm optimistic on this race now.

If Turner wins, his job may be even more temporary than those created by Obama’s stimulus program. The Dem NYS legislature may very well redistrict him out of his job come 2012.
