Greta Interview with Palin and Bachman: Disgusting innuendo about Perry
Self | Self

Posted on 09/12/2011 7:40:37 PM PDT by indianrightwinger

I saw the GOP debate and the Greta interview with Palin and Bachman. I am absolutely against Perry's mandate of the Gardasil vaccine. On policy grounds. Period.

But, to see the two ladies pile on with corruption charges against Perry was truly disgusting. If they have any proof that Perry mandated the vaccine to profit Merck, I am the first one who wants it. And, if proof emerges that he did so, I will be the first one to revoke my support for him.

It happens in the industry all the time. Acquaintances get you an audience. So, in this case, the fact that Perry's previous staffer was a lobbyist must have gotten the meeting. A meeting to hear about this wonderous cancer curing drug. Nothing corrupt about it. Is there more to the reason Perry made such a call? Possible/Probable. Evidence of it? None so far.

Come on. Do Palin and Bachman have to resort to gutter politics to get themselves better positioned?

“Chicago pay to play politics in Texas, and we’re being told by “conservatives” on FR that this is okay for our nominee.”

What “conservatives” on FR are saying is that it is vital that we battle Obama, beat Obama and ensconce our butt in the White House in an Anybody But Obama way. For someone to throw stones and to snipe from the dang high trees at our contenders, while she remains off the battle field, hiding from the meanie press. Sarah needs to stick to her script, her trademark, her bus and her choir and leave the contenders alone.

Your constant spiel about anyone who criticizes Rick Perry being a tool of the left, Obama and Axelrod has become very old.

Rick Perry and his family accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in favors ranging from bowl holiday vacations to scuba diving in the Bahamas are facts and the sooner it all comes out the better.

Other than possibly Romney, there is only one candidate that can get charged of trading grants and appointments for personal favors - the patron saint of open borders and illegal immigration.

Waaa ... boo, hoo, waa. You're criticizing Rick Perry so you're helping the leftists, Barack Obama and David Axelrod. Waa, boo, hoo, hoo ... waaa.

Rick IS pretty cozy with big business. He needs to distance himself with them.

I no longer know what to think. Maybe she is actually running. Maybe she is afraid he is getting more popular with Republicans than her. Who knows?

People are just reading way too much into what she says. Palin is NOT a candidate and when she gives an interview the topics may be different each time.

There is nothing wrong with a good spirited debate. If Perry is such a great candidate, and I do think he is good, then he will be able to take the fire and come through it stronger.

As to Palin, one of her biggest issues is reform - including within her own party. There is nothing wrong with her pointing out that even the perception of pay for play is bad news. Bachmann raised the issue and Palin explained why she thinks it is relevant. I don't see the problem here and I don't think it is tearing us apart.

Just the other day Palin was supposedly "helping" Perry by explaining his social security position better than he did. Governor Palin is simply speaking her mind, trying to give thoughtful interviews (which she is paid 1 million bucks a year to do) and talking about the issues that are important to her.

I thought the debate was great, I though Palin's interview was good, and I think Perry did just fine and will become a stronger candidate for having to deal with scrutiny and questions.

yes this is really really really not a good thing for Palin to get herself into.

And maybe Bachmann knows that she has 100% pure and holy kids that will never worry about STD but nobody in this country should die from cancer just because they made a mistake when they were young.

“Sarah needs to stick to her script, her trademark, “

Another one with the “trademark” comment.

Do you people have a problem with a person protecting their name? Don’t duck it Rita, answer the question. Why does her trademarking her name offend you so?

I believe that the mandate was so that the insurance companies would pay for the vaccine.

If it was an opt-in then the insurance co would not pay for the vaccine.

Not sure why he does not mention this.

Still a mistake by him, was corrected within months and never went into effect, and he has owned up to it.

I was upset with him when he did this but I forgave him for it because I do not believe for one minute he did it for money or for bad motive. I sincerely believe he did it because he thought he would be helping young Texan girls avoid cancer.

I did not hear the Bachman and Palin interview, but if the two of them were implying the motive was for money - then I would never ever vote for either one of them and am disappointed especially in Palin. Bachman using these tactics don’t surprise me but Palin?

The Governor (Perry) is a self made millionaire by good investments he made in real estate purchases. And that is out in the open clearly documented/public.

Why would he even consider ruining his career over a measly $5k donation?

I agree with him, anyone even hinting at that is offensive.

“Sarah needs to stick to her script, her trademark, her bus and her choir and leave the contenders alone.”

Translation: don't ever say anything negative about St. Rick.

You Perry fanboys and fangirls are the biggest bunch of crybabies I have ever seen.

It made me wonder if she has made a deal with Romney and Palin to be their VP if either should win the nomination.

Palin is finished in my mind. I don’t want her even as a VP.

“The Governor (Perry) is a self made millionaire by good investments he made in real estate purchases. And that is out in the open cleary documented/public.”

As are all the hundreds of thousands of dollars in free vacations, bowl trips and other things he received from supporters, some of whom received appointments or grants in exchange.

What? Those roads were already paid for by the taxpayers. Then he sells them to foreigners who then tax the very people who paid for the roads via tolls simply because they need to use them? That is hardly Conservative. Your argument is bogus.

That is happening in alot of people’s minds unfortunately. My mom who was a die hard Palin supporter and in fact voted for the first time in her life because of Palin, is ready to throw the towel in on her. She said that Palin reminded her of a tease. My brother...same way.

The DU site is that a way. -————>>>>>>>>>>>>

Daily Kos is a little to the left, right after you go off the cliff.

Let me guess, you are in Reality the Amazing Kreskin and you know what motivates Governor Palin. Like Kreskin, she could see the future and knew everything she tried would make all sorts of bucks.

Wouldn't it have been much easier on Sarah and her Family is she just bought Google at $125 a share since she could see the future and be done with it? Who would need that kind of aggravation if it was just for the money?

For a moment there I thought I was reading the Yahoo comments section.

I think that Palin has made a deal with both Bachman and Romney to help them in exchange for picking her as their VP. If she hasn’t made a deal and is acting on her own, she’s as big a fool as Huckabee when he made the deal with McCain to shut out Romney, but then Palin partnered with McCain too, didn’t she?
