What does that tell you?
That the guy is a political opportunist taking the path of least resistance in a state where he, as a "Republican", shouldn't even be holding office.
Which actually serves to give me confidence that as President he would appoint Conservative judges. It's just political reality. In MA he couldn't afford to tick off Democrats. As President he wouldn't be able to afford ticking off Conservatives.

He served one term in MA. He could have ticked off the Dems to his heart's content. He didn't because ideologically, he's one of them.
