Hell, I would vote for you over Obama. Your mileage may vary of course. Such is life.

I’m far too outspoken to ever run for any office. My worst fear is that my husband will decide to run for office of any type. I’m not political wife material.

I fully understand opposition to Mitt and I’m not a Romney guy either - and I want nothing more than to have conservatives win elections - but I totally reject the notion that the US will be destroyed under a Romney Presidency (especially with a tea party congress which would likely be the case).
To: reaganaut
What party would that be? How would that not be voting for Obama by default? A bit of history: the US won WWII with Stalin as an ally. Ideological purity has to come second to strategic necessity.
To: C. Edmund Wright
Romney is a liar. He is Obama with an R after his name. His worldview is geared towards himself and his power. I pray that there are more Tea Partiers in congress but he will be able to sway the spineless.

I put principles over politics. Constitution party is my choice.
I find it amusing you feel the need to ‘school’ me on history as my PhD is in the subject.
However, as a Christian, I am duty bound to put ideological and theological purity first and as such I would never vote for a non-Christian (like Romney).
Another bit of History, FDR was a communist sympathizer and after the release of some period KGB files, McCarthy was right, there were communists in the White House.

When did Jesus tell us to put “theological purity” first? I remember his advice to keep Caesar’s stuff and God’s stuff separate. I’m glad you are amused. So, if we have two candidates who don’t pass your purity test, what do you do? For instance, Obama who supports abortion on demand on one hand and Romney who is pro-life? Since neither is acceptable to you do you sit at home in smug orthodox satisfaction or do you acknowledge that we live an imperfect world and do the best you can? Yes, you are correct about FDR. But Churchill just held his nose and worked with Stalin.

That is simply a falsehood. Romney is not pro-life. I've read and listened to his extensive, repeated, convincing proclamations that he is pro-abortion and that nothing would ever change his mind.

When did Jesus tell us to put theological purity first? Does the phrase, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God," ring any bells?
I remember his advice to keep Caesars stuff and Gods stuff separate.
He didn't say that at all, He said to render unto Caesar what was Caesar's and unto God what was God's.
For instance, Obama who supports abortion on demand on one hand and Romney who is pro-life?
There isn't a bit of difference between Zero and Romney, NEITHER are pro-life.
You sound a lot like a troll if you are trying to suggest that Romney is pro-life.

Are you actually trying to say that not supporting an abortion-loving leftist like Romney is "smug"?
Do you realize that FR is a pro-life forum?

I never said that I'd stay home. Your assumptions make you look foolish.
And how idiotic are you stating that John Adams is wrong? He helped create one of the greatest Republics in history. What have you done but push for mediocrity and failure?

He certainly doesn’t espouse conservative values. Compromising is what has brought America to it’s knees.
