Is it just me, or are the 9/11 commemorations oddly subdued?
Actually, I dont think its me, and its not really that odd.
What happened after 9/11 and I think even people on the right know this, whether they admit it or not was deeply shameful. Te atrocity should have been a unifying event, but instead it became a wedge issue. Fake heroes like Bernie Kerik, Rudy Giuliani, and, yes, George W. Bush raced to cash in on the horror. And then the attack was used to justify an unrelated war the neocons wanted to fight, for all the wrong reasons....

He probably thinks first responders were fake heros too. What a dum bass.
Well we can comment jackass. Your paper is to cowardly to allow it.
“Comments closed for obvious reasons”.
Should be: “Comments closed because I’m a pussy who can’t take it.”
The most revealing part was that Krugman didn’t allow comments. The “obvious reasons” are that he’s a coward, along with being evil.

(Krugman is a buffoon of an economist, too.)
"Americas chickens... are coming home... to ROOST!"
From HumanEvents.com, April 29, 2008:
"By all accounts, he [Obama friend and associate, Bill Ayers] was a ferocious, violent, revolutionary Marxist in his halcyon days as a Weatherman leader. He and his Weatherman bombers were enamored of Ho Chi Minh, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Mao Tse-tung -- indeed, all the murderous heroes on the Left. Referring to the Weatherman members in August 1969, he said (according to the FBI): 'Were revolutionary Communists.'
He got off on the groups multiple explosions, too, and discusses them rather lovingly in his memoir.
Ideal Bombing Weather:
'Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon,' he writes (although he concedes it was really a group effort). 'The sky was blue. The birds were singing. And the bastards were finally going to get what was coming to them.' (p. 256 in the 2003 edition.)

From David Horowitz's FrontPageMag.com/DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
March 6, 1970: "three members of the Weather Underground accidentally killed themselves in a Manhattan townhouse while attempting to build a powerful bomb they had intended to plant at a social dance in Fort Dix, New Jersey -- an event that was to be attended by U.S. Army soldiers. Hundreds of lives could have been lost had the plot been successfully executed."

"The bomb was intended to be planted at a non-commissioned officer's dance at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
The bomb was packed with nails to inflict maximum casualties upon detonation."

2007 Fort Dix attack plot
A group of six radical Islamist[1] men, allegedly plotting to stage an attack on the Fort Dix military base in New Jersey, United States, were arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on May 7, 2007. They were subsequently charged with planning an attack against U.S. soldiers. The alleged aim of the six men was said to be to "kill as many soldiers as possible".[2] Their trial began on October 20, 2008. [3]
Opening arguments were presented on October 20, 2008.
Assistant U.S. Attorney William Fitzpatrick said the defendants were inspired by jihad saying "Their motive was to defend Islam. Their inspiration was Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.
This is possibly the stupidest bit of writing this idiot has ever penned.

I don’t about that, Mr. Krugman has a huge volume of stupid writing under his byline over the years.
Its tough to make judge this as the most inane.
"It was at the Chicago home of [Bill] Ayers and [Bernardine] Dohrn that Obama, then an up-and-coming 'community organizer,' had his political coming out party in 1995. Not content with this rite of passage in Lefty World where unrepentant terrorists are regarded as progressive luminaries, still working 'only to educate' both Obamas tended to the relationship with the Ayers."

What a disgusting little man!
This prove beyond any reasonable doubt that Krugman’ hatred to conservatives in general and G. Bush & Giuliani in particular has driven that weasel insane. The only comment I could post is
HAVE YOU NO SHAME KRUGMAN
Do you have no decency Mr. Krugman?
Krugman is lower than the stuff that comes out of a dog’s back end.
Hey Krugman, how much money has Algore made promoting the global warming scam? How much money has Carter made meeting with our enemies around the world?
Folks, it’s true, or at least consistent with what I know. I have personal knowledge. I met a friend of Rudy’s at a defense industry event in the period soon after 9-11. He was scouting for companies to acquire under Rudy’s name. Big bucks. Big profits for Rudy in the defense boom following 9-11.
What impressed me most was the smug arrogance of this guy.
One tiny snippet, and you might need other evidence, but I think that it’s wise to consider who really profits from the military industrial complex.
It ain’t the grunts.
Well, in New York, it couldn’t possibly be because inviting representatives of the surviving colleagues of the heroes of that day, and of the clergy who gave comfort to all that day (to the extent they didn’t fall with the first responders themselves), apparently wasn’t even an afterthought when the city deigned to set up its memorial. Nah. Couldn’t be.
and....who’s to say this so- called “unconfirmed credible threat” re. car bombs etc. in DC & NY is not a “wag the dog” by the administration. It would not be beyond this administration to make up a phoney threat to alarm the citizenry, putting us on a war footing ie, checkpoints, helmeted cops w/ machine guns and soldiers etc. And then Obam and his cohorts will say “we protected you” in order to raise his pathetic poll numbers.
I get the feeling Krugman’s only regret for 9/11 is that DumBO did not get the chance to bow to Osama.
This POS is rarely correct about anything. His specialty is allegedly “economics” and he shows about a fourth grade level of understanding in that area. He isn’t relevant but keeps spewing his garbage. He is a commie poster boy who has nothing to lose at this point. Obama is taking all his flock with him. There is no way out. scum like PK are going out “with the dying of the light”.
