Yes, I am aware he ran Libertarian in 1988-but he did not in 2008, 20 years later, so IMHO it is less likely he would run 3rd party again.

If I am not mistaken he resigned from GOP when he ran in 1988..l but I am not from TX nor am I Libertarian, so I don’t know all that much except that there were rumors of him running 3rd party in 2008 and he chose not to do that.

In Texas, if he’s on the Republican ballot and/or votes in the Republican primary, he can’t run or vote in the Libertarian caucus.
