EXCLUSIVE: 3rd 'Fast and Furious' Gun at Border Agent Murder Scene
Fox News ^ | 9-9-2011 | William Lajeunesse

Posted on 09/09/2011 8:45:58 AM PDT by thouworm

A third gun linked to "Operation Fast and Furious" was found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, new documents obtained exclusively by Fox News suggest, contradicting earlier assertions by federal agencies that police found only two weapons tied to the federal government's now infamous gun interdiction scandal.

Sources say emails support their contention that the FBI concealed evidence to protect a confidential informant. Sources close to the Terry case say the FBI informant works inside a major Mexican cartel and provided the money to obtain the weapons used to kill Terry.

Unlike the two AK-style assault weapons found at the scene, the third weapon could more easily be linked to the informant. To prevent that from happening, sources say, the third gun "disappeared."

(Records show agents fired beanbags in fatal border gunfight)......"Files add some clarity to Terry's death; agents used beanbags against migrants, who replied with gunfire"

[snip] Border Patrol agents shot beanbags at a group of suspected bandits before the men returned fire during a confrontation in a remote canyon, killing agent Brian Terry with a single gunshot, records show.

And an illegal immigrant wounded in the gunbattle who is now the only person in custody linked to the slaying contends he never fired a shot, according to FBI search warrant requests filed in the U.S. District Court in Tucson.

The documents provide the most detailed version yet of what happened in the deadly gunbattle Dec. 14 in Peck Canyon, northwest of Nogales.

The documents say the group of illegal border entrants refused commands to drop their weapons after agents confronted them at about 11:15 p.m. Two agents fired beanbags at the migrants, who responded with gunfire. Two agents returned fire, one with a long gun and one with a pistol, but Terry was mortally wounded in the gunfight.

“And probably the gun used to shoot the congress woman along with killing a judge and several others was also an F&F gun. We’ve probably been lied to that it was not.

That was the DOJ’s biggest fear. They were panicked. As all this gunwalker news leaks out, the administration is doing its frenetic best to keep the MSM busy with “important” news. It can’t last forever. They can’t bury this anymore.

After I posted the thread, I sent the FOX link to a friend that gets Drudge’s attention (but I had done that twice before [to no avail] with a gunwalker story, thinking that Drudge was just waiting for a “smoking gun” story from a mainstream source).

Good that he has now posted both stories. We will see where he goes from here and if he stays on top of it. If Drudge keeps up the pressure, it will expedite critical mass.

MM: Did you see Raebie’s post that Drudge has 2 gunwalker story links in top left column?

There was a blurb about the 3rd weapon being a H&K MP5

If so, that would explain how it was harder to “explain”.

Yeah. I went and checked it out. No sirens, but at least they are there. Fingers crossed. I mean, is it possible he didn’t think this story was important enough to report?

Not even in red headlines. We shall see.

My theory gave him the benefit of the doubt...that he had been slow on the uptake and was waiting for a “smoking gun” story to catch up. We will see...”fingers crossed.”

I’ll see if I can still find the blurb I read. It was not on Fox.

The comments section here is where I read that blurb about the H&K

http://www.personalliberty.com/news/federal-sting-operation-may-have-led-to-patrol-agents-death-800466904/

The location of the pic in the article is the UK, but it is used in connection with Agent Terry’s death.

Are these pics of the weapons they recovered? Not sure, but it is implied.

Those discussing it mentioned the 3rd weapon and that it was clearly a MP5 and mentioned the less than 18” barrel.

Tell me if I got it wrong.

Congress expands Fast and Furious probe to White House

Congressional investigators reviewing the failed gun-tracking program Operation Fast and Furious have formally asked the Obama administration to turn over copies of "all records" involving three key White House national security officials and the program, other ATF gun cases in Phoenix, and all communications between the White House and the ATF field office in Arizona.

The letter signed Friday by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Vista), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Sen. Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, was sent to National Security Advisor Thomas E. Donilon, a top aide to President Obama.

Is this the weapon that killed Terry? As I recall, it was said that of the two others that were found, neither was the murder weapon.????

The direction for this “operation” came from a much higher official than “Errr Holder”.

Direct from the “resident” at 1600 Penn. Ave.

Thanks for reminding me. I seem to remember the same statement.
