SAN DIEGO — A major power outage hit San Diego County, Imperial County and parts of Orange County Thursday, leaving residents throughout the region without power.
The outage knocked out power at the Fox 5 studios at about 3:40 p.m.
San Diego Gas and Electric officials were scrambling to find out the cause of the outage. They said they would have a news conference when they have more information. The utility used Twitter to send the following message: “We understand power is out, we are working on the cause and solution. We do not have a restoration time yet”
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that its substations all over the county were without power. In addition, viewers from Chula Vista in the south to Oceanside in the north and as far east as Alpine called Fox 5 to report they were without power.

When you get to day 5 without power I’ll start to empathize.

The Obama EPA must have shut down those “Nasty Coal-Fire” power plants, after-all, It Is For The Children. /s
Obama’s lies blew up all the tv’s!
First step in an offensive strike is to disable infrastructure. You know the NSA is paying attention big time.
SOLAR RADIO BURSTS: This week’s sharp increase in solar activity has turned the sun into a radio transmitter. Bursts of shortwave static are coming from the unstable magnetic canopy of sunspot 1283. Tuesday in New Mexico, amateur radio astronomer Thomas Ashcraft recorded some samples at 21 MHz: listen. Radio listeners should remain alert for this kind of solar activity as sunspot 1283 continues to seethe.
STRONG FLARE ACTIVITY CONTINUES: On Sept. 8th at 1546 UT, sunspot 1283 unleashed an M6-class solar flare. This continues the active region’s 3-day trend of daily powerful eruptions. Yesterday’s blast, an X1.8-class event, produced a bright flash of extreme UV radiation and hurled an inky-dark plume of plasma into space. Just 5 days? My neighbors across the street here in MD were out for 8 days after Irene.
We were very fortunate. The next town over (Sterling, CT) still has some outages.
According to CBS ... warning of a credible terror threat just went out to NY and Washington. How long has the power been out. Afraid to click links for another reason at this point. Have you been to your link and viewed and run a virus check. Strange happenings. Praying unrelated.
That’s what I was thinking but that is giving them too much credit.
There have been credible reports of large scale copper pilfering and some burned and unidentifiable bodies.
I was out for about 11 days after Isabella. The worst part was it was so hot during that period. Would go to McDonald’s just to cool off.
QUICK! OBama needs to shut down more coal powered plants FAST!
That way, next time this won't seem so massive.
