Palin's window closing as Republican race gains steam

The clock is ticking for Sarah Palin, and her time is almost up.

With Mitt Romney and Rick Perry taking control of a quickly shifting Republican presidential campaign, Palin may have already missed her best chance for a late entry in the race.

"I think the window for Palin is closed, and every second that ticks off the clock things get more and more difficult for her," said Craig Robinson, a former state party political director who runs the Iowa Republican website.

"People are really ready to say this is our field of candidates, these are the people we have to choose from," he said. "They are growing frustrated with Sarah Palin's game of peekaboo."

On another visit to Iowa last weekend, she told reporters she was happy with the field of Republican candidates and quickly added: "I always think there is room for more."

But with the first nominating contest in Iowa less than five months away, little time is left to organize a national campaign, hire a staff and raise the money to compete.

The once unsettled battle for the Republican nomination to challenge President Barack Obama in 2012 has taken shape with last month's entry of Perry, the Texas governor who has roared to the top of the polls with strong conservative support.

Perry zoomed past Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, by appealing to the same coalition of social, religious and Tea Party fiscal conservatives that Palin would target if she gets in the race.

"Now that Perry and Romney have begun to draw the battle lines between them, I don't think there is any room for Palin in the campaign," said Republican strategist Rich Galen. "She's still a big personality, but she's not a potential candidate."

“She said she would decide by “Late August or Early September.” We are entering “mid-September”.”

“decide”/”announce” - two entirely different words. Patience is a virtue, seldom found in man.

Mxxain was broke all the way through the primaries. As soom as he picked Sarah, Conservative wallets and piggy banks opened wide. Conservatives are holding their cards which are still in sealed decks. The seals will NOT be broken until Sarah announces...one way or another.

she would definitely do things differently — but she’d need money, and the big donors are coming on board now.

Ah yes! Those big donors! The ones who get back many times more than what they donate to the cause. Money laundering at its finest.

Palin's window closing as Republican race gains steam,

That's steam?

Well, that's what they thought at first. Turns out it was just gas.

The rest of us don't let your narrow perspective even enter into the equation.

Reality is what it is. Perry did much better than you care to proclaim, but the proof is in all the raving revues that have come out today and that will come out in the coming months.

Perry is taking a solid stand and did well keeping that in tact. Your candidate is still sitting at home on Face Book, dreaming up more extrapolation for how to steal attention away from the real candidates who at least have the courage to put their money where their mouth is and actually do something besides talk about it.

Spinning words is a typical used car salesman's political trick.

I thought Palin was a different kind of politician. She said she would "decide". Has she issued an announcement saying that she has "decided"? No. Conclusion: If she has decided, then she has decided not to run.

This isn't cute anymore. She promised a decision, so we need to press her on this issue.

You are right raving reviews. I give you that. The liberals especially are giving him rave reviews. The White House wants him to be the candidate. I wonder why he is getting rave reviews. Doesn’t it sound exactly the same thing as McCain? I certainly do.

She's bleeding supporters. I have moved on. I'm not the only one.

The big money is not yet flowing to Perry or Romney.
It’s being held back, to see what happens next.
If Perry can’t stop Romney, Palin will have to jump in and the money will follow her.

The "big money" is being held back, and for nobody other than Palin. Millions are sitting on their dollars. Romney and Perry aren't getting it. Neither is Michele, Cain, Newt, Paul, or Huntsman.

If she runs, she gets it.

If she doesn't, we go ahead and spend our "big money" on end-of-the-world supplies, because with either Obama or any of the RINOs, that's where we're headed.

There are 3.2 million supporters on Palin's Facebook page, ten times what all the other candidates have combined. There are thousands of pro-Palin blogs on the interwebs. There are Organizing4Palin organizations in every state, and multiple *4Palin Facebook pages for every state, and hundreds more *4Palin groups that are not state-specific.

With just the money currently pledged, I suspect Palin will have more than a half Billion dollars within the first month, and more than a Billion within a few months. That's the "big money".

She has decided, she’s waiting until she thinks it’s the right time to announce because she doesn’t want to take corrupt money to pacify your childish impatience.

If she does run would you vote for her?

Please! It is not nice to skew the Facts. She said by late September.

Jul 13, 2011 – WASHINGTON -- Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin says she'll announce her intentions for the White House in late August or early September.

.

Her own promised deadline has expired.

Rick Perry is so far removed from the likes of McCain that it is not even worth the debate. And you know that. You only say so because I doubt you have thoroughly researched who and what Perry is. I have, and I really like what I see in him. Especially the way he handled himself last night with everyone attacking him in unison.

We saw the same thing. He survived. Good for him and you. The primary is just standing. Many people thought that Fred Thompson always did good in the debates. Where is he now?
