Palin does not represent the Tea Party nor is she the leader of the Tea Party. She’s a speaker at some Tea Party events.
The Tea Party is much bigger and hopefully, more long lasting than Palin, unless we wreck it by trying to narrow it down to fit into Palin’s pocket.
You are absolutely correct IMO. But also bear in mind that the MSM and the opposition want to MAKE it a case that the TEA Party lives and dies by Palin so that if she doesn’t run, they can say that the Tea Pary died, no one likes it and it doesn’t matter.
Which is the polar opposite of truth.
The Tea Party is much bigger and hopefully, more long lasting than Palin, unless we wreck it by trying to narrow it down to fit into Palins pocket."
I don't recall Governor Sarah Palin ever claiming to be the "leader" or even a "leader" of the Tea Party movement. If you can link to such a quote, I'd appreciate it. And what exactly do you mean by "more long lasting than Palin?" A non-declared private citizen running a strong third in almost every major poll doesn't sound like someone who is fading away, or do you disagree? http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/republican_presidential_nomination-1452.html
“The Tea Party is much bigger and hopefully, more long lasting than Palin, unless we wreck it by trying to narrow it down to fit into Palins pocket.”
Your half right and half wrong. Nobody is a leader of the Tea Party, but Palin is the biggest headliner of any politician out there that the TeaParty keeps calling back.
Do you know anybody else that the Tea Partiers crave to hear as much as Palin? No.
