No it’s not just you. No doubt Assad is a murderer and dictator but swapping the devil you know for a devil you don’t is not wise. The fact that the new devil would have close ties with other new devils in the area means that you face the likelihood of creating something you can no longer contain or control. That not only threatens the existence of Israel but also the troops in Iraq. I wonder is Obama’s exit strategy to get American troops blown up and out of Iraq - not that Syria could do that alone but with the combined Military of all around them it may be that they could do a lot of damage.
These people seem to be intent on creating the circumstances in which Israel would feel they have no other option than to use their biggest weapons.

I am concerned as I think it’s probably a done deal. If this is it then there is little to nothing we can do about it other than tell others and get them informed - if not we are still pretty much in the same boat although it may have ramifications at the next election and change may happen from there.
