My Aunt Gloria could charm a copperhead and bend the ear off an elephant and I don't mind a bit.......but a lot of the chat was with my cattle breeder cousin on the local situation back there, which covered a busted tie iron on a tractor, scrub cedars in his fence line and N-methyl-1-phenylpropan-2-amine use in the locality.
Some things can be easily fixed...others not.

I have problem with wild florabunda roses in my fence line.. I’d rather have cedars.
We do have a meth issue but recently it has been bath salts.
