Palin will not play second fiddle to Bush Lite, so I do not expect her to throw her support behind him. But, the alternative (Obamney) is not good either. Palin will most likely stay on the sidelines and pick the eventual winner near the end.

So she would sit on the sidelines and pick the winner near the end? This would mean she could not hope to get elected until at least the 2028 cycle. (A republican win with two terms, then the vice president would be the favored candidate in the 2016 primary). I would say that if she had any aspirations, she would act this year.

We're of similar mind on this. Contrary to the conventional wisdom on this thread, I don't buy the idea that Perry has a clear path to the nomination. Perry has many issues that risk slow-bleeding him throughout the campaign. The man's been in the race for 3 flippin' weeks. It's an eternity in politics until the first votes are cast. The irritation with Palin's entry into the race will be a dusty memory in a couple months. Gardasil, crony capitalism, career politican, and open borders, will, however, still be very much alive as issues.

WOW you must be an inner circle advisor to Palin to KNOW what she will and will not do.

Might be a good idea to preface such conjecture as MWT (my wishful thinking).
