Have to go after Perry for another candidate to have a chance. The GOP is trying to coronate a candidate. So I expect the fireworks to start, especially at the next debate. Palin is, according to a Fox News Poll, likely to take votes from other candidates but Perry maintains his lead. Having said that Romney and Bachmann are sure Perry will implode. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says that candidates have to start going on the offense or Perry wins without being vetted properly. Romney is wait and see on Perry. However, Bachmann is the one losing support to Perry. Perry, the current flavor to some, is taking support from Bachmann, Cain, Santorum and even some Paul.

So it will be a dog fight to take out Perry, but he has an iffy record so there are plenty to highlight and use against.

Or maybe it just means she’s really not running as she’s able to keep the funds flowing to her SarahPAC by keeping her supporters in suspense. Once they find out she’s not running some of the supporters would then donate elsewhere.

“What concerns me is the damage that is being done to the efforts to defeat Obama in 2012.”

Show an iota of evidence of this supposed “damage” you are so ‘Concerned” about. If that is a REAL problem, surely you can provide examples.

We are a mere handful by comparison and in that handful, only a small percentage are losing faith. If they stopped worrying about what pundits say and remembered her own schedule for announcing, that faith may be restored rather quickly because they, not palin, are the ones inventing/building up this “must announce now” crap.

Good points Norm....

While I doubt that’s the case, we will indeed find out before long which of us is correct. As I have said before on these threads. I have no problem admitting that I’m wrong. And despite arguing loudly in Palin’s “defense” on FR, if I am, you will see a vanity post from me saying it. Strangely, no one will take me up on an offer to do the same.

There is No damage being done to efforts to defeat Obama.....he’s doing that work all by himself and successfully so as he goes along as we all can see and attest to, including those of his own party who are scambling to find something other than attacking other candidates and the Repulican Party....for that matter even the US citizen they now blame.

So people who think as that poster indicates he does, that there’s damage at this point in the process....isn’t discerning the reality of what’s happening.

This lady has the best political instincts of anybody I've ever seen. I completely trust what she's doing. Sorry, but she's proved this conventional wisdom wrong time and time again.

Sarah, do it your way, and don't listen to the “Eastablishment” types.

bigtigermike insultingly says:

“You have no clue what you or John Fund is talking about:

Mr. Fund is helping Bachmann write her new book coming out...no bias there

Why would Sarah blast crony capitalism today in her speech as previewed by some reporters and then turn around and support a man that has issues of crony capitalism.”

Apparently someone peed in your cornflakes and you are blaming me. Besides which, I seriously doubt that you have a published trail of positive articles about Palin that I do, so you can put that pyschoses aside thinking I’m attacking Palin or have an agenda. You know nothing of what you speak.

Your response was totally uncalled for. As to your points, the crony capitalism question is a good one and I fully stated that I had problems with Perry’s conservatism. I also said that Fund’s analysis was reasoned and well thought out....and that I thought it might possibly play out as correct. I never said it was “thus sayeth the Lord.”

As for writing a book with Bachmann - I am writing one with another candidate (none of the three mentioned here) but that does not mean I cannot say anything reasoned or correct about the rest of the field.

Go get some decaf.

“More evidence that even conservatives (even the thespian variety, infesting FR), let the screeching hyenas, crisis-a-minute FagMedia set the timetable.

Still a very long 14 months, more than 430 days, until the election....

Turn off your damn TV.”

I can see this playing out all the way to the convention. She doesn't announce in Aug.. so they'll say she will in September.. so wont announce in September.. they'll say she will in October, and on and on.. finally she will say she isn't running... and then they will STILL claim that she is! they will turn into DRAFT Palin screamers, they will keep this up all the way to the convention, where they will be screaming for a floor fight.

It's ridiculous. We need to pick our candidate and then turn our guns on the real target Obama ASAP, not spend the next year tearing down all our candidates.

She’s waiting until the Undefeated gets released in the local Wal-Mart. Then she has something to counteract all the negative press she invariably will get.

Poly loves posting the anti-Palin polls so much, I wonder why he ignores the one showing “generic Repub” beating Obama by more than 10 points. Shure doesn’t sound like damage to me..

My My Current candidates can't compete against somebody who hasn't announced yet

...and yet C-Span, media, polls and all other venues consistently include her on their Pres. "Lists".....for one not declaring she has far outdone those who have declared in the yes of all venues.... she's a candidate to them...and that speaks volumes!

I would take the word of Dianne Brandi, Fox News Channel's executive vice president of legal and business affairs seriously.

As soon as each of them shows some serious intention to form an exploratory committee, we would take the same action," Brandi told the Times. "Huckabee is on a book tour, so I think his present intention is to sell books."

When asked about Palin, Brandi said: "She hasn't yet shown a serious intention to form an exploratory committee."

Don’t worry, she’s running just not inside the FEC. You have 8 years to get used to her ways.

Pray for America

Ah...she SAID Sept/Oct was her timeframe to announce. Did you miss that? Can we get there first before writing her off or inventing false scenarios?

“”She hasn’t yet shown a serious intention to form an exploratory committee.”

And she may not need one. Or ever create one even if she runs. Again, they are not required.
