“(Hope to God Im wrong.)”
Don’t worry.....You are!
Palin is like Lennon and McCartney. She just cranks out awesome pieces, one after another without seemingly breaking a sweat. It's because it's coming straight from her heart.
And is she the queen of one line zingers, or what? Damn, she's got a talent for breaking down an issue into one short phrase. Never seen anything like it, outside of Reagan, Will Rogers, or Churchill.
I’ll bet a lot of Secret Service members are chomping at the bit to be on Palin’s detail.
I still love the scene of the tall fella that was on her security detail during the campaign...and he always looked so serious and gruff...but ya gotta know that little Piper stole his heart..
Did you see the gun holster she signed? Have no clue if there was a gun in it.
Have a good evenin'
What the heck are you talking about?
Huh? You are either on the wrong thead or just trying to stir up trouble. Get lost.
I don’t want to give it away too easily. Am I really the only one who spotted its absence?
Here’s a hint - you can find it in practically every video and wide-shot photo of any tea party rally from the very first ones - at least, prior to this year. If there was a single symbol that represented what the movement was about, this would be it.
3+ hours of video on this event, I didn’t spot even one.
Please tell me that someone else has noticed its absence. If no one can guess I’ll reveal it but I will be HUGELY disappointed if I have to do that.
And unlike the tunesmith duo, Sarah Palin cranks out the hits without the "inspiration" of certain mind-altering substances. :-)
She's real, authentic and natural.
Are you talking about an American flag?
Nope, but you’re getting warm.
If you read between the lines; especially in the last minutes, she implied that it was her duty to come to the aid of her country:
“No, the road is not easy. But it is nothing compared to the suffering and sacrifice of those who came before us . . . There is clarity in our calling, patriotic constitutionalists. We have a duty not just to the living but to those who came and died before us and to the generations yet to be born.”
Gadsden?
Yes!
Where are the Gadsden flags?
Why would they display it in the rain? It was pouring most of the day until just before Palin spoke.
Didn’t stop us in 2009 when we got together for the first TP protests. Rained all day here, didn’t stop anybody from bringing out their flags and protest signs.
Well I guess you’re just a better Tea Partier then. Or perhaps the people here had respect for the flag and followed American flag protocol. Why don’t you ask Ken Crow. He organized the event.
I saw a photo of a guy standing in the pouring rain holding one [before the rally actually started]. Everyone around him was sitting under umbrellas. That is all you could see: umbrella tops, a guy in a hooded slicker holding the Gadsden, and pouring rain.
