So, the root of the world is intolerance of other beliefs, not prejudice per se. :)

What I meant was people use the word bigot or bigotry as a substitute for hatred, racism etc ... but in fact it does not mean that.

If on is calling someone a bigot because they do not agree with their position, then it is mirrored back on the accuser ... per the dictionary definition.

Ah, I see you and I agree. Bigot is misused all the time. A bigot is, in fact, someone who uses the pejorative, “bigot” to silence someone who they disagree with.
