Whatever one thinks of him as a candidate in this election cycle, his is the kind of reasoned, principled response which must be made to the politically-correct censors of the so-called "progressive" movement.
Fine, but don't think they will ever care about or even hear your response. they consider their mission accomplished simply by lobbing in the charge. They know most people will hear the charge but not bother to attend to the response, much less think about what they are hearing.
I’m expecting a high-level position for Santorum in the Palin Administration - maybe HHS Secretary.
loveliberty2: “He rebutted the charge of bigotry by pointing out that the view expressed by Morgan was, itself, bigotry.”
Well, I think you’re right. A bigot is someone who is intolerant of other views. Santorum did not attack Piers Morgan or even treat him poorly. People mistakenly think tolerance means acceptance. It does not.
Homosexuality is an abomination as well as a sin, but I try to be tolerant. Let’s just say I respect the right of other people to disagree with my viewpoint. I don’t try to silence them or treat them poorly simply because they don’t ascribe to my religious views. That’s tolerance.
Piers Morgan, on the other hand, is clearly an intolerant bigot. Have no doubt, he intended to harm Santorum. The left wants to silence Christians. If the left had its way, no true Christian would ever be elected to office.
