DES MOINES, Iowa -- Though she won't be a candidate when she delivers a major address at a tea party rally in Iowa on Saturday, Sarah Palin will make it clear that she if enters the presidential race later this month she will vociferously challenge Texas Gov. Rick Perrys engrained image of solidarity with the tea party movement.
In her speech at the bucolic National Balloon Classic field in Indianola, Palin will lean on loaded phrases like crony capitalism and permanent political class in laying out her view of the U.S. political systems deep-rooted ills, according to a source close to Palin and familiar with the content of the speech.
Though she will not call Perry out by name, Palins carefully couched rhetoric will leave the impression that she may soon draw more overt attention to one of the Texans potential vulnerabilities as a candidate: his history of doling out plum positions and other benefits to generous campaign donors during his nearly 11-year tenure as the nations longest serving governor.

I haven’t heard Palin name Perry, have you?
I agree with Grandma here. I know a lot of you love Palin and will do anything for her, but you have to be a bit disappointed at this moment.
A month ago everything was in full gear with the grizzly bear graphic growling “September 3rd, September 3rd....”
Now we are reduced to watching her feuding over whether she appears on the same stage with Christine O’Donnell who was supposedly one of her soulmates in last fall’s elections.
In the meantime Rick Perry pulled off a great campaign launch speech in South Carolina that took the air out of the Iowa straw vote. Perry has probably already cemented in about 40% of the conservative voters who might have given Sarah a look.
“Sarah Palin is proving to be a hustle. She creates great expectations and then lets down. This speech could be made by anyone at any time and people are driving long distances for THIS?”

Tell us Granny, how is she letting people down?
Apparently by the crowds she’s been generating...she ain’t letting anybody down.
Now why don’t you tell us what your problem with Palin really is?
And who would that be??!! LOL! Hmmmm, can't really think of a one right now.
No. That was my first comment. The writer is trying to make it Palin vs Perry, for whatever reason. I hope and expect Palin will aim her sights at Obama, rather than the GOP frontrunner (who she has endorsed in the past.)
WOW, what a walking, typing cliche’ you are. Do you also call into the Rush Limbaugh show stating that you voted for Bush?
“I did support her in the past but”
Yeah right!
They want “Palin attacks Perry” and so suddenly an attack on the entire structure of crony capitalism is all about Perry - as if he were the only one ladling out the ‘pork’ to supporters in the history of our Republic.
And the Boss is getting fed up with the trolling by both sides. There's nothing wrong with debate. But that's not what's happening. Most of what's posted is flame bait.
Here’s an alternate theory to yours.
She lets Perry destroy all the other competition, then it’s just a race between herself and Perry. Everyone else is out of it.
What is critical is saving this Country.
“It’s vital that the GOP vet their candidates.”

Not trying to be smart with you, and just so I’m clear; which GOP candidates aren’t being vetted?
Maybe I miss understood your post...so if I did...my apologies.
A month ago everything was in full gear with the grizzly bear graphic growling September 3rd, September 3rd....
Sarah has said in interviews that have been posted REPEATEDLY that she will give her decision in late Sept or Oct. SHE never said Sept 3rd.
Now we are reduced to watching her feuding over whether she appears on the same stage with Christine ODonnell
Give a named source for Palin having ANYTHING to do with Crow's ineptitude. Palin has said NOTHING.
Perry has probably already cemented in about 40% of the conservative voters who might have given Sarah a look.
Oh please! NOTHING is written in stone. NOTHING.
Perry has probably already cemented in about 40% of the conservative voters who might have given Sarah a look.
Quik cement huh?
You may be surprised at what I do know.
Yup. Palin said nothing.
Nice try Granny, but you have a serious case of PDS. I could swear I’m reading posts from Pissant.
The MSM has no right to set an agenda and time frame. But they'll try. And people will fall for it.
It's vital that the GOP vet their candidates.
Palin AND her children have already HAD a press colonoscopy.
It's time to get back to reality and realize we need to worry about getting rid of Obama.
