New York just recently adopted a new divorce statute. Now inn New York just like the other 49 states a person can file for divorce because they don’t like the way the spouse picks their nose.

OR it could be that NY divorce laws consider either partner’s having relations with anyone else during a separation still as “adultery” and his investigators may be working to reduce BOR’s financial liability for a divorce? I thought that kind of stuff ended in the sixties...

well, it DID, but sometimes it takes a long time for laws to catch up with the ‘cultural’ trends. Another poster said NYS divorce law recently changed. Here in VA, a couple with children has to be living apart for a full year before they can apply for divorce. I find in my dotage that I think making divorce more difficult is a good thing.
