Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly used his police contacts to have his former wife's new boyfriend investigated by officers, it has been reported.
After the couple allegedly separated and his wife of 15 years started seeing a Long Island police officer, Mr O'Reilly is said to have pulled strings to have the man officially investigated and warned to back off.
Sources claim officers were instructed to collaborate with private investigators to dig dirt on Mareen McPhilmy O'Reilly's new boyfriend in the hope of Mr O'Reilly donating money to the police department in return for the favour.

yeah, I wonder that sometimes, too. Maybe the guys in the states say, “can’t touch this, you better take it...” but I’m not sure why on this one.
Or, it could all be a fabrication. The source of this allegation is some liberal rat hole that reguarly bashes Fox News, and it was picked up by the foreign press.

OR it could be that NY divorce laws consider either partner’s having relations with anyone else during a separation still as “adultery” and his investigators may be working to reduce BOR’s financial liability for a divorce? Or it could have to do with child custody. Divorces are nasty business, especially when there’s money or kids involved.
If there were a separation with hope of reconciliation she likely wouldn’t be busy dating someone else, and he wouldn’t be busy investigating her ‘boyfriend.’
It would be hard for another man to treat Mrs. BOR worse than BOR did. Good riddance!

If there are kids involved, you'd better believe I'd be pulling favors to get some background info, too. Too many stories in the news today about kids suffering and dying at the hands of the "boyfriend."
Didn't say there was hope for a reconciliation; just said he might still care for her.
Most guys tend to be the "surprised" partner in the relationship when it starts to deteriorate.
