Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly used his police contacts to have his former wife's new boyfriend investigated by officers, it has been reported.
After the couple allegedly separated and his wife of 15 years started seeing a Long Island police officer, Mr O'Reilly is said to have pulled strings to have the man officially investigated and warned to back off.
Sources claim officers were instructed to collaborate with private investigators to dig dirt on Mareen McPhilmy O'Reilly's new boyfriend in the hope of Mr O'Reilly donating money to the police department in return for the favour.

My reconciliation comment wasn’t responsive directly to anything you posted, just the reality that IF a couple honestly wants to reconcile, but needs a “time out,” they don’t do it running around with others or investigating.
I would imagine BOR’s ego also is at risk with the idea of her leaving him and going with someone else. She chose a copy, so obviously isn’t after him for his money, esp after 15 years with BOR.
Who knows? Human relationships are complex, delicate things. Marital relationships even more so.

I thought O’Really was an entertainer not a “news anchor”. He’s short on facts and long on opinions.
There really are very few true investigative journalists in America today, and even fewer honest ones.
Real journalists (like Jack Cashill, for example) are quite rare.
In America, most "journalists" are actually "Journo-Listers" who spend the bulk of their time spinning for Ubama and the Democrats and smearing Republicans and conservatives. It's just the way it is in America these days. The New York Times recent lying hit piece on Darrell Issa is a classic example of where the Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms are going.
One of the worst hit TV pieces I ever saw was em-ceed by that simple piece of sh!+ Matt Lauer. If you never saw it, the YouTube is still available and the link is conveniently posted in this Free Republic article. I urge everybody to watch this. You just want to reach through your monitor and slap that punk Lauer. It is disgusting beyond belief, and the perfect example of how the Democrat newsrooms operate.
