'Alpha Dog' is at it again! Putin leads biker gang in his latest macho photo opportunity
The Daily Mail ^

Posted on 08/30/2011 8:00:55 AM PDT by AfricanChristian

Politicians will usually kick off an election campaign with a rousing speech, a meet-and-greet handshaking session or a nice photo opportunity kissing a baby. Unless, of course, they are Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who joined a biker gang and led them on a testosterone-fuelled motorcade. Over-revving the engine as he sat astride a three-wheeled Harley Davidson, the former KGB tough man looked both ludicrous and very much at home in the latest of macho stunts that have punctuated his political career.

Sorry, you just can’t look macho on a trike.

AGREED.

Unless for some physical reason you can't ride a normal motorcycle, hop on a trike at your own dorky peril.

It’s 10% and it’s a big hit considering we’re a very small company.

We don’t care.

They deserve it and shame on the other companies for not thinking so, too.

I use mine for grocery shopping, BTW.
Lots of trunk room...LOL

Possibly the best part is the friends we make.

Old customers from years back still stop in when they’re in the area and write often, especially if they’ve updated their paint job, won a show or something.

We met the best friend we ever knew because of our trikes.

He passed away a few years ago and we miss him every day.

I agree! I’ve always thought Putin wasn’t bad to look at and for those who vote based on looks this does not hurt him a bit!

A women’s style bike in a mountain bike is almost worthless as any rough terrain and the frame will buckle. The drop-tube unisex is almost 75% the strength of a conventional straight tube men’s bike. Even though I wear a fiberglass cup I’ve still injured myself on my straight-tube Mountain Trek. So, my next bike will be a drop-tube.

Well, don’t think badly of me - I’m picking up a 1984 1200cc Goldwing. It’s not a Harley, but I just can’t pass up this deal.

Not handicapped vets...ALL vets.

I’m not old, weak or handicapped, *definitely* not fat and I’ve figured out how to ride a motorcycle.

It’s simply what I prefer.

Besides, you can’t put a 2000W amp/pre-amp/EQ/subwoofer/quad speakers on a 2 wheeler.

:)

My Specialized Hard Rock is nearly 21 years old, and quite heavy. I would like a composite bike, but, jeeze, the price. I’m picking up a 1200cc Goldwing for less than what a new Mountain Bike would cost.

Funny...I’ve had quite a few flamers on FR call me “Butch”.

LOL

Well, I cannot comment on his looks, but I will say that I respect him as a leader who loves his country.

I cannot say the same for Barack Obama. He isn’t a leader, and he most definitely HATES America.

Quite frankly, at this particular time in history, I’d rather have Putin as my leader than this little, sissy fa66ot Obama.

The non-hispanic western of concept macho has decayed into a bully idol figure. What Pooty-Poot is doing with it is typical. Surprised he isn’t also wearing spikes.

Well, "butch" is when a feminine person adopts stereotypically male clothing, behavioral patterns, etc., in an attempt to project a "male" image. "Butch" is not "macho" . . . butch is, well, butch.

Hey, trikes may be your thing . . . good on you. But as for me, no thanks. I prefer my FLSTF. When it comes to trikes, I'd rather drive a VW Beetle with the cute flower vase. Yes, that's hyperbole.

POW*MIA escort crash was the recent incident I heard about. The LEOs on scene indicated involvement of a trike as part of the accident, but the news article doesn't confirm it. My wife was dispatching for Chubbuck PD at the time and tracking the progress of the group as they arrived in town. One of the riders later died per the local TV station

That’s great to know. I’ve been wanting a bike for more than 20 years (my last bike needed more work than I was willing to put into it, and my children were little at the time). Now that the children are all grown, and this unbelievable deal surfaced, I’m getting back on two wheels. My family isn’t too thrilled. Mainly because we lost my dad Nov 2006 from a motorcycle accident (he lost control of his 2006 Aspencade for an unknown reason). He would want me to get this bike.

What Putin is doing is propogandizing the popular mood of Russia.

Wish we had an alpha dog who could do something other than golf and eat ice cream. And ride a girl's bicycle.
