**Liberals embrace the rhetoric of science, but not its cautious and dispassionate reasoning.**

.......Unless he has an interest in paleontology that has escaped everyones notice to this point, Perrys somewhat doubtful take on evolution has more to do with a general impulse to preserve a role for God in creation than a careful evaluation of the work of, say, Stephen Jay Gould. Perrys attitude is in the American mainstream. According to Gallup, 40 percent of Americans think God created man in his present form, and 38 percent think man developed over millions of years with God guiding the process. Is three-quarters of the country potentially anti-science?
Similarly, Perrys skepticism on man-made global warming surely has much to do with the uses to which the scientific consensus on warming is put. It is enlisted as support for sweeping carbon controls that fail any cost-benefit analysis and gets spun into catastrophic scenarios that are as rigorous as Hollywood movie treatments. For all their talk of fidelity to science, global-warming alarmists bring to the issue an evangelical zeal to match that of the participants in Rick Perrys Houston prayer meeting a few weeks ago.
Science is often just an adjunct to the Lefts faith commitments. A Richard Dawkins takes evolutionary science beyond its competence and argues that it dictates atheism. An Al Gore makes it sound as if there is no scientific alternative to his policy preferences. They are believers wrapping themselves in the rhetoric of science while lacking all the care and dispassionate reasoning we associate with the practice of it.
It is in this vein that Rick Perry is branded anti-science. Ultimately, a presidents views on evolution count for little. Ronald Reagan shared Perrys skepticism, and the nation survived. In Texas, Perry adopted policies designed to draw doctors and technology firms to Texas and create jobs. He succeeded. In this, hes proven admirably empirical more so, indeed, than the president of the United States. [full editorial]
But they'll embrace anything that does that.
Anti-Science....that is worth a few chuckles!!
Let’s see, NASA debunks man-made global warming. Can’t really get more “science” than that.
And as far as science goes, there is NO WAY the science on climate change is settled. There is so much that we do not understand about how things work on this planet.
Oh, but I forgot, algore invented AGW so it MUST be right.
Science tells us the baby in the woumb is human 100% of the time.
They will stop at nothing. Their "new morality" sanctions anything that serves their agenda. Their agenda is evil and nefarious, and their "new morality" is nothing more than the same old immorality that has befouled the world since prehistoric times--their "rhetoric" and the good intentions of some of them notwithstanding.

What the sheeple don't know won't hurt them {cough}... said the Wizard of Oz whilst riding away in his snake-oil jackwagon...
"....Excellent piece over at American Thinker on Global Warming as Pathological Science. It's not just about global warming, but about the left's constant hijacking of science for politico-religious ends.
Which is why it is so ironic that leftists are always so hysterical about _a few Christians_ who believe the universe was created in 144 hours 6000 years ago, when they themselves are responsible for almost all of the wholesale misappropriation of science for magical ends, global warming just being the most visible and risible example. ...."
No, it’s not John Kerry’s hair stylist.
Here’s a hint:
